"Kano...don't leave me. I can't be here alone." These words echoed into my head as I said them. I felt my tears streaming down my face, making my face feel all warm. I gripped his wrist tighter, hoping that he wouldn't go if it was tight enough. "I have to Mary. I will come back and all you can do it wait for me. I promise you, you'll be safer here at the orphanage." He released my grip and put on a faint smile. "Just wait here….just wait. I promise, so just wait.." I sniffed and held my breath, waiting for what he would say next. He didn't say anything- he just stared into my eyes with his bright yellow eyes and then I saw a faint trace of a single tear streaming down his face.
It's been four years since, and I never saw him after that. Till this day, I still wait for him at the window where we parted. It's been exactly four years… I know he'll come. I just know he will. I was kept at the orphanage, where Kano, Seto, and Ayano were raised. Kano told me that if I stayed here, I would be safe. Well, I guess it is safe since nothing has happened to me yet. I played with my ribbon that Kano gave me before he left, while looking out at the window. He left to somewhere that didn't mention. I didn't know where he was, when he'll be back, and most importantly, whether he was still alive or not. I should probably go visit Seto or Momo. Aah, it's so boring here without Kano. I wanted to cry- I wanted to cry and cry until Kano came to wrap his arms around me. But I knew that wouldn't happen.
Tea..tea.. now where did I put them...I looked around the shelf and found a new bag of tea Momo brought me. I poured myself a cup and headed towards the table in the lounging room and sat down. No one was here, they were all outside, minding their own business. I always stayed here, never leaving the orphanage, hoping to see Kano appear at the door with open arms. *Knock. Knock.* I jumped to my surprise, confused. There shouldn't be anyone visiting this orphanage. If it was the kids who lived here, they would've just barged in. *Knock. Knock.* What do I do… uhhh. Don't open doors to strangers. Yeah, that's right. I stared at the door, hoping the person at the other side of the door wouldn't knock again. *Knock. Knock.* Wha.. what do I do… I can't just leave him there knocking. What if he's someone important? Gahhhh… I walked towards the door and hesitated. I finally turned the door knob slowly and closed my eyes due to my shyness. I slowly opened them and saw a familiar and nolgastic face appear in front of me. "Ka...Kano..?"
