This is a new Dramione fanfic I made :D It's just a one-shot that I did, so please review!
Disclaimer: I don't own Harry Potter. J.K. Rowling does.
Hermione Granger sighed as she poured in her textbooks into her bookbag. Sixth year, and she was a NEWT student.
Worries, worries, worries.
"Mione, please help! I don't understand! How can Scourgify go wrong in 50 different ways?" Ron whined. Hermione rolled her eyes. "No, Ronald! I cannot help you with your homework or else it's cheating! Plus, you were supposed to do it two whole months ago! If I let you look at my answers, how will you learn?" She said as she slung her bag over her shoulder and flattened her hair hurriedly, attempting to make herself look presentable for her first day of classes. As she ran down the hallway in excitement, she was nervous. There was only one minute left until the bell, and she couldn't be late on the first day of classes!
Draco Malfoy pointed his wand at her bookbag and whispered, "Diffindo!" Everything collapsed. An inkpot fell and shattered on the ground, and mountains of books thumped loudly on the floor. Students pretended not to see her as they rushed to classes, and Draco felt a little surge of regret. He could make out some of the titles of the books: Charms for the Charmed, Advanced Potion-Making, The Standard Book of Spells Grade 6, and Hogwarts, a History.
Hermione sighed and did a nonverbal cleaning spell, as a hand reached down and handed over her bag. "Thanks," She said, assuming it was Harry. "My bag just split open, I don't know what happened—" "Well, let's see. Was it your clumsiness, or was it the fact I cast a Severing Charm to distract you so I could talk to you?" A voice said, the wrong voice, that wasn't Harry's, or any of her Gryffindor friends, or any of the members of her study group. But it was a familiar voice, the voice of someone who had taunted her for almost her entire life.
Malfoy.
But something made her feel like it was a new person, someone that she had never met before.
He said, "Hermione, I just wanted to tell you I'm sorry. I'm sorry I called you a Mudblood multiple times, I'm sorry I've insulted you for so long, I'm just really, really sorry, okay? I just—" Hermione stopped him and touched his arm. "It's okay, all right? I forgive you." He smiled, and she grinned back. He gathered up the rest of her books and placed them inside her bag. She closed it and put it over her shoulder again, and the two of them walked to Potions together.
People pointed and stared on the way, the Golden Gryffindor girl, and the haughty Slytherin Prince? It wasn't. Pansy Parkinson had tossed her hair and stomped away, Ron gaped, open-mouthed, and Harry just flashed a wink in her direction. Ginny gasped loudly and gave Hermione a thumbs-up, while Seamus Finnigan had looked from Hermione to Draco as if still in shock, but then pulled Hermione in for a hug and thumped Draco on the back very quickly, as if he was scared that he would bite him. Hermione smiled, and walked hand-in-hand with Draco all the way down the corridor.
This was the beginning of something no one could understand.
I hope you guys really liked it! Please review! I might just make a sequel to this if it gets a good response, or maybe even a story about Ron that goes along with it? Who knows! Anyway, review away :D
