Avatar: Zuko chooses good at Ba Sing Se.
A dim battlefield underground. Crystals, and rock formations litter the area. Three battlers carefully examine each other to see who makes the first move. Avatar Aang of the air nomads, Katara of the water tribe, and Princess Azula of the fire nation. Three combatants, three nations. Azula is attempting to fight the other two on her own, and is slowly losing hope of winning. They stare at each other unmoving until their intense surveillance is broken by a fire blast hitting the dead middle between Aang and Azula. All three divert their attention to a new opponent, Zuko, prince of fire. Azula gives her older brother a look that screams at him "You had better not attack me," while hiding her inner panic, while the young Avatar shocked at this turn of events watches hoping that Zuko will fight with him, while being prepared to avoid his attacks if he fights with Azula. Katara has little doubt that Zuko will fight along side her and the Avatar, and her attention remains mainly on Azula's actions. Zuko quickly shoots a second fire blast straight at his sister making the battle now 3 on 1.
Azula, now calculating any remaining chance she has, tries to fight the three of them. Sadly, no matter how perfect her stance, or how powerful her attacks, the combined might of three bending masters is too much for her to handle. She decides her only chance is to run away, knowing the fire nation will fall if she doesn't warn them of the eclipse. Immediately calling her new bodyguards, the Di-Lee, Azula attempts to escape, when her route is cut off by her uncle Iroh, the dragon of the west.
Then, an earthquake happens, and big rocks fall on top of Katara, Aang, Zuko and Iroh, crushing them all, and killing them.
"Uh . . ." Azula was momentarily at a loss for words. "Ahem. Good work. That was excellent timing, Di-Lee guys."
"We didn't do it, though, Azula. This area is known for earthquakes. It just kinda happened."
"Oh. Well, shit . . ." she eyeballed one of the boulders. "You, there!" She pointed at a Di-Lee person. "Earthbend that boulder up. My uncle and brother and that water tribe slut are dead for sure, but the Avatar could have used earthbending to save himself."
"Right away!" Then he earthbended the boulder away, but all that was left of Aang was blood, guts, and mashed bones.
Azula sat down and caught her breath, now able to relax. "Alright! Thanks for the help, Di-Lee peeps, but now I'm going to the Fire Nation to tell my dad we won the war."
The End
So, the first two paragraphs are old as hell. I found 'em on an external harddrive, last edited in July of 2010, but they might be older than that. Fact is they're shitty, and I can't believe there was a time I wanted to write legit serious fanfics. That's why I decided to add this abrupt ending that hopefully some people find funny.
