Hi, everyone!
My name's Rikki Bennet, former mermaid and one of the most beautiful, but also probably the most badass lady you'll ever find.
Back during my late teens I was a mermaid...yes, a real mermaid. Weird, right...? Yup, I thought so too at first, but I quickly began to see how cool it was.
These days I'm no longer a mermaid. Now I'm just Rikki, though of course that's not a little thing. Me is awesome, ya know.
I'm married to Zane Bennet. Did you think I broke up with him? Well, truth is...I did, but later on we found each other again. If you ask my friend Cleo, she'd say that Zane's my soul-mate or something. Guess that's true even if I myself don't believe in all of that cosmic faith crap.
Sorry that I sometimes use hardcore words when I talk. That's a part of who I am, so deal with it or walk away now.
Like they say...if you can't stand the heat...get out from the kitchen. Not sure what that's got to do with me and my life. Ask my other friend Emma about that. She's the smart one. Okay, I'm not stupid or anything. Not one bit. Em is just more into academical knowledge and that was never my strong side.
I work at Carver & O'Malley's Auction House and I also have myown women-only punk-band, known as 'Ladies of the Dark' and we've even made our first album and gone on tour all around the country.
Zane and I have a cool, smart and beautiful daughter named Abigail or Abi as we usually call her.
Abi is so much like me. She has my blonde hair, sexy body, slightly sharp voice and sassy personality.
People who know me says that it's totally clear that Abi is my daughter. I agree. Abi is such a mommy's girl.
Abi turned 25 last week and she has her own online clothing-store.
Even with my super-busy life I still have a close friendship with Cleo, Emma and Bella...my old fellow mermaids.
I still wear my dear silver-locket as a memory of who I once used to be.
Cleo and Emma wear their lockets too. Bella has her own locket as well, thanks to Em who had one custom-made for her.
Abi used to be a mermaid, but she gave up her powers about two years ago.
Now with Abi being all human there are no mermaids left here on the Gold Coast.
I sometimes miss my old mermaid-life, but I'm also more than happy with being regular human Rikki now.
Cleo, Em, Bella and I are too old to be mermaids anyway. We learned from Louise Chatham that it's best to at some point move on and leave everything mermaid in the past.
Speakin' about Louise Chatham...
I'll always remember her. She gave very good advice and she was smart and friendly.
No matter what, through sadness and joy, Cleo, Emma, Bella and me are always best friends.
Long time ago before I met Cleo and Emma, I had no friends. Back then, Rikki was the one who was always alone. The only one I used to care about at the time was myself and my dad.
Meeting Cleo and Em and share the mermaid-secret with them changed me. I became much more nice and sweet.
Still I'm not completely soft now either...a part of me will always be 100 % badass and sexual.
