This is my first attempt at poetry, so no flames if it's not really good….Plus, I wrote this very on-the-fly, so there's that too.

In the world of Phineas & Ferb,

no one gives a lick about

what country someone else is from.

One half of our dynamic duo

is British. If he wasn't,

would that make him more

of a brother?

Do we separate the girl

who lives across the street

from her mom and little dog,

because they don't celebrate

Christmas or the mom looks like she

"might be illegal"?

Baljeet is one of the smartest

kids around. Could his homeland

of India be such a mess that

we should mark him out?

(Don't count Buford - they're

each other's "least favorite brother" anyway).

Speaking of the girl's dog, his good

friend is a platypus, only found

in Australia. Do we have to

send him back down under?

What about his nemesis, the goofball

"evil" scientist from Drusselstein?

If we can do this to real children,

shouldn't we do the same to

cartoon ones too?

...Do Meap and Mitch also count?

If THEY do,

then that would mean

the term prejudice

is as infinite as space.

For the past few days, I have been feeling down because I feel so helpless as to the situation on the U.S. border.

For those who haven't heard, children - some so young, they're still being BREASTFED - are being TAKEN AWAY from their parents.

And not ONE has been reunited! They're being put in empty big-box stores and can't even be hugged by the people who worked there :O There's NO REASON for this occur!

After I went to a student-art exhibition at school, entitled (Un)Safe Havens: Searching for Sanctuary, this came to me. This is a way I hope I can make a dent in what's happening.

If you have an ounce of compassion in you, protest this barbaric practice in any safe, legal, and responsible way you can think of!
