On a humid Sunday night, a week after Hogwarts, one boy is kept awake well into Monday morning. The boy, Harry James Potter, will not sleep. Sleep brings nightmares and bad memories. During this night, Harry begins to reflect on his nightmares for the previous two years.
During Harry's first year, the defense teacher had Voldemort on his head. Throughout the whole year, not one professor realized the professor's parasite. The background check that Harry assumed the Headmaster did brought up nothing, though people say assuming makes an ass out of you and me. The next issue Harry saw from that year was having a three headed dog in the castle. What mentally stable adult would keep a three headed dog in a school full of children hiding an object that every dark or self-absorbed wizard wished to possess! That appeared strange to Harry even then, but after his second year the dangers seemed to increase. Back to first year though. A troll in the castle is a huge no, as well as a human-suffocating plant, and a mirror a person can get addicted to. The "obstacles" that three eleven-year-olds could pass were not the best idea either. Everything that happened during that year made Harry question if the headmaster had the best intentions for the school, or if everything was set up.
During second year, things went further downhill. Parents not realizing two of their charges are gone, rogue house elves who could get into "impassive" wards, and giant spiders. That was not even the crazy part. A professor who knew nothing running a dueling club and a professor helping a student harm another's reputation made no sense. Having a ghost in a bathroom, petrified cats, kids, and ghosts, and a second year figuring out one of Hogwart's greatest mysteries. Hogwash! Leaving one professor to find a dieing girl out of the whole freaking staff was interesting as well. No teachers standing up for the boy when the whole school is scared of him when the headmaster knew the truth was another aggravating incident. Having a girl possessed for a whole year is not a joke, but Dumbledore covered it up and acted like it was nothing. Nothing about Harry's Hogwarts education made since.
Then there were the Weasley's letters. Stay safe, we're fine, you should of let the adults handle it, see you soon. That's it for the most part. In Ron's first letter he went on a rant about Ginny being a disgrace. Harry did not see Ginny as a disgrace. He saw her as the strongest witch in the world. How many wizards or witches could hold off the greatest Dark Lord of modern times for a year? The fact that the letters sent to Ginny were sent back unopened disturbed Harry as well. It didn't help that the family was heading to Egypt. Harry was told that no letters should be sent, so the owls don't die. BS if you ask Harry. Things were complicated in the life of Harry Potter.
Around two o'clock Monday morning the sleep deprived boy feel asleep; however, the nightmares would. It disappear.
