Ange: My first drabble. I'm so proud. Sure this wasn't my Art paper I'm suppose to be working on but let's not worry about the details.
Disclaimer: Yay for exams…
A Seaside Anniversary
It was Ryoma's two year anniversary and so he decided he wanted to do something special. Two years is a long time after all. And so with little fanfare he took off to the sea bringing his significant other with him.
-
He wouldn't admit it but he truly did love Eiji.
-
They would stay at the beach just for one day he decided. One day where all worries wouldn't be there to bother them. One day to show his appreciation.
-
This turned out to be a good idea because that day was bliss and in the midst of relaxing Ryoma couldn't think of a time when he was happier. They sat on the pier, watching old men fish. They dozed away in the humid air, the wind rustling over them. As cliché as it was they even took long walks on the beach, going to a destination that they didn't even know.
-
All too soon it was over though and they had to return to the real world once more. While both relaxing together in a hammock watching the colors the setting sun turned the sky, Ryoma turned to Eiji and looked into his catlike eyes.
-
"I suppose we should go now, Eiji," he said despondently.
-
"…before Tezuka starts wondering where I am on our anniversary."
-
"Meow," replied Eiji, wagging his tail and fondly licking his master's face.
"You know sometimes I think you love that cat more than me," remarked Tezuka.
-
Ryoma said nothing but gave a secretive glance to Eiji who had his own table mat at the dinner table he and Tezuka were eating from.
-
Ryoma just smiled mysteriously before returning to the food Tezuka went out of his way to cook for him.
-
"Mada mada dane Buchou," he said as way of an explanation.
-
"Mada mada dane."
a/n: surprised? Hopefully it wasn't corny. It was fun to write at least. But grats to me for updated everyday this week!
