Darkness. It was all that existed ,way back ,before the memory of God himself ,before even the universe ,for it was born of this darkness ,in a blinding flash of all-illuminating lift; heat and power of which the immortal stars shaped.
Time is truly an incredible, mysterious persona, stretching back almost as far as the darkness itself, keeping the darkness still is an omnipresent and omni potent force and watches as the universe grew ,when the stars were young and shone brightly ,watched a,s galaxies formed ,then solar systems ,or just simply wandering masses of rock congregate into an asteroid belt. He watched as water formed ,heavier elements were created in the hearts of dying stars ,and the fist lifeforms came into existence in the oceans.
Time bore witness when life began on land ,when the jurassic period ended ,the ice age ,and when the universe's rarest gift grew to saturate the one perfect planet. He watched as each species slowly grew ,time even sometimes gently changed them ,evolved them to better survive ,and survive they did.
The advent of the latest species ,homo sapien ,or humankind marked the greatest change in the universe to be granted sentient thought and the ability to not just survive like their lesser evolved kin ,but to thrive : intelligence. Thousands of years later ,humankind has spread ,like a plague ,a cancer that destroys everything it touches, and leaves death and suffering in it's wake. In one fell swoop ,has come close to eradicating any other form of sentient life on the planet they were so benevolently gifted to existed on. Time ,the ultimate judge ,the equaliser of this ,and every other universe before it ,a force that withers stars with it's power ,set it's sights on humanity.
