A Trip With A Butterfly
She laid there, sleeping peacefully on the hotel bed. The white covers were pulled all the way up to her chin as she curled into a tight ball underneath. Alex watched her, his dark eyes showing no emotion. But soon, he smiled and stood up. Carefully, he pulled the covers off the girl and picked her up, carrying her to the bathroom. When she started to stir, he only shushed her.
"Shh, it's okay," he cooed, smiling down at her. "Just go back to sleep. Don't worry 'bout a thing."
She looked at him with tired eyes for a few seconds, but smiled and closed them once more, resting her head against his chest. She trusted him, and knew he wouldn't do a thing. Though, as Alex flicked on the light and closed the door, she felt herself being lowered into the bathtub. As she felt the porcelain hit her bare arms, she once more awoke, this time fully awake.
"Alex?" she spoke, looking into his dark eyes. He just smiled, reaching into his pocket and pulling out a butterfly knife, which he quickly opened. Before she could scream though, he placed his hand over her mouth, and brought the knife down full force, impaling her stomach. Her eyes went wide in pain as her cries were muffled. Once more, the knife was struck down, this time landing slightly higher, and the next one higher than that. This continued until he finally reached her heart. And when that was done, he put his knife away and stood up, going to the sink. He turned on the warm water, putting his hands under the rushing liquid. People say blood is hard to wash away, but to Alex, it was quite easy. He watched as the blood slipped off his hands and circle down the drain before never being seen again. He then shut off the water and looked at the bloody tub. This would be easy as well.
After the blood had been washed away, Alex had spent his whole night getting rid of any evidence. He had opened the window and climbed out, thankful that the room was on the first floor. He climbed out, making sure no cameras were around. And when he knew for sure there weren't, he picked up the girl's lifeless body and carried her away.
About two miles away, he stopped in a field. Pulling out the lighter he had brought with him on the trip and dropping her body, he took off his shirt and dropped it by her. He then flicked the lighter on and lit both body and shirt. Watching the two burn in the bright flames brought slight happiness to him. He smiled, turning his heels and walking back towards the hotel, humming to himself.
.-'XXX'-.
Jennifer's eyes shot open as the sound of her alarm clock going off had woken her up. She slowly upright, looking around her dark room. After turning on her light, she rubbed her tired eyes, sighing to herself.
"Damn dreams," she muttered to herself, grabbing her laptop to play some music.
When Jennifer arrived at school and started to make her way towards annex, only to see a boy walk up to her with a smile.
"Hey!" Alex greeted, looking down at her. "How was your morning?"
"I woke up, so I can't complain," she replied. He allowed her words to sink in for moment, before nodding and following her down the path.
"Soooo... you gonna go on that field trip?" he asked, his smile returning. "I heard we get to spend a few nights there!"
Jennifer felt a chill run up her spine. Multimedia and photography would be going on a trip, taking pictures and videos on Oregon. And now hearing they would be spending a few nights in an unknown area...
"Nope!"
