Please leave a comment, it'll mean a lot to me :)
Bella:
I laid lazily on my bed, tired from working all day at the Hamburger joint, and stared blankly at the storeroom's ceiling. This is the room that I was forced by my uncle to live in- after he took control of my parent's property.
The deafening sound of various partying and EDM music mixed with people's cheering pierced through my ears. That Rosalie is definitely not partying again... wild crazy party animals.
I plugged in my earphones and escape into my own peaceful land.
Let me go
I don't wanna be your hero
I don't wanna be a big man
This song never fails to bring me back to eight years ago, when I was living a carefree and happy life. "Daddy, swing higher, higher!" I would often demand my father when we play on the swings in front of my house's porch. "Yes my princess!" My father would reply, with the brightest smile in the world.
Ever since a young age of 10, I believed that I was immensely blessed to have such loving parents. I never did remember them being angry at me. I treasured them so much.
Until one day, I found myself waking up in the hospital, and both of my parents are gone forever. Mr Swan came and took over as my legal "guardian", technically saying, he didn't guard me. He stole practically everything from my parents. And my parents will never be here to get it back.
I felt tears welling up the edge of my eyes. Stop it Bell, you're not supposed to cry, you're not supposed to!
I slouched my black Jansports schoolbag over my shoulder, opened the door and walked towards the kitchen.
"Good morning Mrs. Swan." That's what my aunt wanted me to call her. She looked up from her magazine and gave me an unpleasant look.
"Glad you kept your promise." Rosalie said, munching her bread, at the dining table.
I turned to look at her.
"Of not coming out the room." Rosalie smiled, "Or they'll know you're my cousin, no, wait, actually a servant who has disgusting parents!"
"They're not." I replied, calmly, my fingers clamped together.
A slap. I held my cheek and turned. My uncle, again.
"They are, and no use clenching your fists my dear." He glared at me.
I walked away, away from hell, those maniacs. Just because they're jealous of your smart parents, Bella Swan.
"Hey Bell." Heidi shouted. I turned to face her.
"What's with the red mark on your face?" Heidi shouted. "Why do you have to endure all this?"
Heidi is the only friend I told all my stories to.
Recess:
Heidi passed me a cooling bag. I took it and gave her an assuring smile. She is the nicest person I've ever met, I don't even know why she would ever make friends with me. However when I ask her, she would often say that we're the same kind- unloved and unpopular.
"When we graduate, we're going to kick the asses of those that treat us badly and take revenge!" Heidi said, she said it countless times.
"It's not as easy as you say, Heidi." You got to count your foot step by step.
