Magnus stands from his bed facing towards him smiling eyes deep into his "Magnus, don't leave…." Alec says laying under the sheets.
"I'm sorry alexander but both of us have our duties" he replies while getting into his dressing robe
"I know but maybe we could delay those duties for a little while?"
"My oh my, Alec lightwood not wanting to do work!"
"Well it's for a good cause Magnus bane "he says grinning. He pulls he lover towards his own body yearning for him. Both of their members begin to throb vigorously, grabbing at each other almost tearing off each other's clothes even though Magnus was the only one of the two not just wearing underwear. Tugging at his hair lightly they kiss passionately. They look at each other almost dead in the eye both smiling but then the field of groans are broken…
"Alexander what am I after this" Magnus asks, he waits there is nothing but silence.
Magnus backs away from Alec's body now sitting on the side of the bed, many moments then pass.
"Alec….. Could you leave?"
The room is then completely silent once more. It's as if the only thing Alec can do is just sit there more minutes pass "just leave alexander, just..." he pauses unable to finish what he is saying. He turns to what could be the first true love since Etta who is still lying down on his side now, he turns back around, was he willing to give this up sure this had been the first time in quite a while but he needed to know where he stood with Alec.
Alec sits up on the other side of the same bed not knowing what he should do- go or stay in the deep quiet of the room. Alec turns to Magnus's back, Magnus moves his head slightly enough to see him and then completes his sentence. "Go!"
A simple one word, a two letter word yet such a rift it creates and such sadness is it followed by. Alec stands and gets dressed while Magnus sits staring at his own feet trying not to look at this man.
To only say
"No one must know of this, just say we had drinks if anyone asks"
"Why?"
"Well, we did have drinks and we can't have you lying about another aspect of your life now can we" Magnus says passive aggressively. Shortly Alec leaves and goes back to the institute alone and Magnus began to drink away his feelings being not completely sure if he had don't the right thing with that whole situation. Now everything is going awkward between the two and there is nothing Magnus can do after all emotions are never black and white they are more like symptoms, and boy is Magnus sick yet so is Alec.
