"Em, wait up!"

Edward Elric chased after me as I ran along the river, heading toward a wooden playhouse. "Wow, Ed," I said, stopping in front of it. "Was this yours?"

"Me, Al, and Winry," Edward corrected, leaning over to catch his breath. "Em, we should head back. It looks like it's gonna start raining."

"Aw, where's your sense of adventure?" I asked, walking into the playhouse. "Come on, what's the harm in looking?"

Edward felt a raindrop on his head and walked in, closing the door behind him. He watched as I looked at anything and everything I could get my hands on, noticing a couple claps of thunder outside. Well, looks like we're stuck here until the rain clears up, he thought as another clap of thunder sounded, a flash of lightning illuminating the playhouse. Edward looked around, but he couldn't see me anywhere. "Em?" he called, looking harder. "Emilee? Where are you?"

A small noise led Edward to the very last room, a small bed and a closet its only occupants. I sat in the corner with my knees to my chest, hands over my ears, and my eyes tightly shut. Edward knelt in front of me, hesitantly placing a hand on my shoulder. I slowly opened my eyes and looked up at Edward.

"Em, are you afraid of thunderstorms?" he asked. A flash of lightning shone through the room and he got his answer as I quickly closed my eyes again. Smiling slightly, Edward moved my hands away from my ears and kissed me. Pulling away, he switched places with me and pulled me down into his lap.

"Edward?" I asked softly. More lightning flashed and I pulled myself closer to him.

Edward smiled slightly and wrapped his arms around me, feeling as I moved slightly each time there was thunder and lightning. It might not be a bad night, he thought, holding me slightly tighter.
