My Little Demon

"I-Itachi-nii-san? I-I don't want to go in there."

Whined the eight year old Sasuke Uchiha

"Come on Sasuke, I'm going to prove to you that there is no such thing as a ghost or demon."

said the older Uchiha brother as he pushed his little brother into the old decaying orphanage.

"Bu-But Nii-san! I saw him! The ghost of a boy maybe a year younger than me."

The younger Uchiha persisted as he and his brother walked down the dark corridor while avoiding broken glass and debris left behind by the buildings old inhabitants.

"Don't be foolish Sasuke you were imagining thing."

Itachi said as he pushed ahead of his brother to examine the contents of an old bedroom.

"I wasn't imagining it Itachi, really! Me, Kiba, and Shikamaru were playing ball in the school yard when Kiba kicked it too hard and make it go over the school gate and roll under to one of the orphanage's low windows. I went to go get it and when I grabbed the ball and stood up to leave I saw a boy with blonde hair, blue eyes and three whisker-like scars on both cheeks staring right at me through the window. He stared at me with wide eyes before he disappeared into the building."

"I'm telling you there's no such thing."

"B-But-

"And furthermore the child you may have seen was probably someone from your school who was dared to go in there."

"That can't be Itachi because that boy doesn't go to our school! I've never seen him around until today! I'm telling you that boy was the ghost of some kid who died in there."

"Well then tell me this; did this "ghost" seem transparent? Did he phase through a wall to get away from you when he "disappeared into the building"?

"W-Well no. He seemed as solid as you or me and he ran away from me when he went deeper into the building." Sasuke said sheepishly

"Well then what makes you think that the boy you saw was a ghost?"

"I guess your right nii-san" Sasuke sighed

"Good, now then let's return home before Mother and Father start to worry.

"Yes, nii-san"

said Sasuke as he and Itachi turned around and left the building.

They didn't notice the sad pair of blue eyes watching them leave.
