Hircine is one of my favourite Daedric Gods. So it only makes sense to right a fic about him.
Also, this may be my first story for the Elder Scrolls, but this ain't my first fic altogether.
Read on...
As the hunter made his way through the alpine, one thought was in his head:
Food.
He had hunted in this forest before, but today he couldn't find anything.
He knew he had to get back soon, other wise the wolves that roamed the wilds at night would kill him.
He scanned the area once again. There seemed to be no game in his usual hunting area. He couldn't even see any tracks though the snow.
Just when he was about to give up hope, he thought of something:
What if he prayed to Hircine, the Daedric God of the Hunt?
It was a longshot, but it may work.
He said a silent prayer, & waited.
At first, nothing happened, but then out of the corner of his eye, he noticed a small movement.
He slowly turned, and saw a rabbit had appeared.
Not wanting to take any chances, he quickly drew his bow, and made the shot.
As he walked over to the dead animal, he said a small prayer of thanks to the God that had provided him with the prey.
As he made his way back to his shack however, he was unaware of what was to come.
The Hunter woke to a wolf's howl. While this was natural in the wilds of Skyrim, something seemed off about it.
He went outside to investigate, and looked towards the forest.
He couldn't quite see it at first, but he saw a man, no, a ghost approach him.
Something was different about this ghost though. He looked like a man, but instead of a human head, he had a stag's head.
'I see you have eaten the meal I have provided you,' The ghost said, looking at the hunter.
The Hunter looked at him with utter confusion.
'Do you not recognise me? I am the God of the hunt, the one who saved you from starvation today. I am an aspect of Hircine himself,'
The hunter just stood there in awe. The very thought of ever meating a god was amazing, but this? This was just unreal.
'But, I'm afraid when you call upon my services, you need to give something back,' Hircine said. 'Show me your arm,'
the hunter showed the ghost his arm, which had a small cut on it from the earlier hunt.
Hircine simply just snapped his fingers, and the hunter began to change form. He began to grow from 6'1 to a staggering 6'8. He grew hair almost everywhere on his body, and grew a muzzle, similar to a wolf's.
'You see, I'm not just the God of the Hunt, I'm also the father of manbeasts. Which means,' Hircine said, gesturing towards the hunter: 'I have transformed you into a werewolf,'
The Hunter growled angrily at the God, who was beginning to fade into the night.
'You needn't worry, you'll still be able to continue your life in human form, but whenever the full moon shines, you shall become a werewolf,'
The Hunter lunged at the ghost as he faded away, into the moonlit night.
Once the ghost had disappeared, the Hunter looked up into the sky and howled, knowing now that his life had changed forever.
Well, that's done. Hit that reveiw button & tell me what you think. Chosen out.
