I looked at my dying husband
The humor leaving his emerald orbs
I swear to myself that if he died,
I myself would live no more.
"R-Rose I-I love you
With you, I have enjoyed every second
Your fire is a strorm, (By fire, I mean passion)
A true force to be reckoned
Tears were streaming down my face.
He sounded like he was saying his last good-bye
I looked around for someone to tell me
This was all a dream, a joke, a lie.
"D-do y-you remember the first time
We made love, on our honeymoon?
W-we made love all night
Under a full moon."
R-remember when I entered you
From the back? The way you screamed my name?
The way you clung to that pillow
Made me never think of pillows the same.
I leaned over and
Kissed him on the lips
It hurt me so bad to
See my Adrian like this
I held him closer even thought
I knew he was gone
Gone after all these years
Gone after we've been together this long
No! I won't let God take him away
