I was busy cleaning in the back of my master's shop with my brother Anakin. Ani and I were twins. We had the same blonde hair; my hair was shoulder length while Ani's was also quite long being just past his ears. We both shared the same blue eyes. It was boring work, cleaning the shop, but we had to do it. Ani and I, as well as our mom, were slaves. Ani and I mostly looked after the shop or cleaned the store. Ani and I were ten, we were at an age where Watto may consider giving us more advanced jobs soon. Especially Ani, he already had a job I didn't since he was good at pod racing so Watto made him do it while he bet against my brother.

Watto shouted for us in his native language, which my brother and I had learnt when we first came to this store with our mom. We quickly left what we were doing and ran into the store. Watto told us to watch the front while he took a human man with long hair into the back to look for parts. We climbed onto the counter and sat watching the remaining members of the group - one was a small droid, another a tall alien (though I didn't know the species I was used to alien species on Tatooine) and finally a teenaged girl. The long haired man began telling the alien off for touching stuff, and the alien stuck a really long tongue out at him. I giggled seeing that, and the alien grinned at me before going to examine a little robot.

"Are you an angel?" Ani asked the teenage girl. She looked over at us and smiled at him.
"What?"
"An angel. The deep space pilots talk about them." Ani explained.
"I don't think she's an angel." I muttered, mostly to myself. Ani sometimes got crazy ideas, though at least this idea wasn't potentially deadly.
"Their the most beautiful creatures in the universe." Ani continued. "They live on the moons of… Iego, I think."
"You listen in to conversations too much, Ani." I rolled my eyes at him. He then started bragging to the girl about him being a pilot. My brother could be big-headed sometimes.
"How long have you been here?" the girl asked.
"Since we were very little. Three, I think." Ani answered. I nodded in agreement. "Mom, Issi and I were sold to Gardulla the Hutt, but she lost us betting on the pod race."
"You're slaves?"
"We're people! My name's Anakin and this is my sister, Issiana!" The girl quickly apologized, and I smiled to show her she was forgiven.

The alien that was with the girl began messing with one of Watto's robots.
"You really don't want to touch that, Mister." I told him. He didn't listen and poked it, which made it turn on. The alien managed to grab the robot, after knocking stuff over.
"Hit it on the nose!" Ani yelled. The alien did as he suggested, and the alien curled back up.

The man came back in a few minutes later.
"We're leaving. Jar-Jar." I watched him walk out with the alien, Jar-Jar, and the others.
"I'm glad to have met you, Anakin, Issiana." the girl smiled at my brother and me.
"I was glad to have met you too." Ani smiled back.
"Yeah, your really nice." I agreed with my brother. Watto came over complaining about the group. Ani and I were told we could go home once the racks were cleaned, so we ran to do it. We left Watto's shop an hour later, with the racks almost sparkling clean. We both knew if we shirked off in any way Watto would force us to stay longer at the shop.

We were walking through the marketplace when we saw the alien from the shop, Jar-Jar, being beaten up by another alien. Only this one I knew - it was a Dug named Sebulba. Ani raced against him in the pod racing. Sebulba was ruthless. And he was currently beating Jar-Jar up. Ani quickly stopped the fight, and Sebulba walked away although not without threatening my brother. The man walked over. Ani and the man began talking about Sebulba.

We ended up at the stall of an old lady, I could never remember her name. She knew my brother really well, but I rarely came into the marketplace with him usually heading straight home from Watto's shop.
"Storm's coming, Ani, Issi. You better get home quick." the old lady told us. Anakin offered for the man and his group to come home with us, since they had nowhere to stay and wait out the storm.

"Mom! Mom, we're home!" Ani shouted.
"We brought guests!" I added, not wanting her to worry about the group behind us.
"I am Qui-Gon Jinn." the man introduced himself to Mom. Ani turned to the girl.
"I'm building a droid! Wanna see?" the girl and Ani headed to see Threepio. Mom and I went to start making dinner while Qui-Gon and Jar-Jar watched. Qui-Gon walked out of the room while Jar-Jar was helping Mom.

We were sat down to eat dinner. Mom had made plenty for the six of us. She was busy explaining our way of life to the group joining us.
"All slaves have a transmitter placed inside their bodies somewhere." Mom told them.
"I've been working on a scanner, to try and locate mine." Ani sounded proud of this fact even though it was really dangerous.

"Any attempt to escape…"
"…and they blow you up. Boom!" Ani finished for Mom. I looked at my plate sadly, I wanted to leave Tatooine more than anything but it was impossible unless Watto sold the three of us to someone off world, which he was unlikely to do since slavery wasn't something most other planets allowed.
