I dig my toes into the sand
The ocean looks
like a thousand diamonds
Strewn across a blue blanket
I lean
against the wind
Pretend that I am weightless
And in this
moment I am happy...happy
Deidara smiled as he sat on the beach, thinking of the happy times with his Danna. It had been a few months since the cotton-candy freak and old lady had killed him and Deidara was now twenty. He cried on his birthday because Sasori was planning on taking them to a secluded island to get away from missions, the constant bickering and angry make-up sex of Kakuzu and Hidan, and the chaos that came with being part of the Akatsuki family.
Deidara had found a piece of paper with the date, plans for a vacation, and even a fricking marriage proposal date in Sasori's drawer labeled "For Dei's Birthday" and that's where he was now; a small island that had a lovely condo far from the coast of the Mist country.
The ocean sparkled like a thousand diamonds. It was truly a rare and lovely site. He smiled wider as the wind played the his hair, as Sasori used to. Like when he was flying, he pretended he was weightless.
I
wish you were here
I wish you were here
I wish you were here
I
wish you were here
Still, as he laid back and looked at the purple, pink, orange, and yellow hues of the sunset, he couldn't help but wish that Sasori hadn't died and was there with him.
"I wish you were here, Sasori-no-danna, un," he sighed, closing his eyes.
I
lay my head onto the sand
The sky resembles a backlit canopy
With
holes punched in it
I'm counting UFOs
I signal them with my
lighter
And in this moment I am happy...happy
Dark had fallen and he thought the sky looked like a back-lit canopy with holes in it. He counted the stars that were moving and got seventeen of them. He held up a black lighter with the Kanji for D+S=L. He smiled as he remembered when Sasori gave it to him for Christmas. He laughed. That was the Christmas that Hidan massacred a bunch of carolers and Tobi caught the tree on fire.
I
wish you were here
I wish you were here
I wish you were
here
Wish you were here
The ache of Sasori would not go away. Deidara let a single tear fall as the saw a shooting star claw its way across the night sky.
"I wish you were here, Danna," he said again, more quietly. "We could be together now and happy forever. I'll even get rid of my views on art for you. Anything to have you back."
The
world's a roller coaster I
wish you were here I wish you were here
And I am not strapped in
Maybe I
should hold with care
But my hands are busy in the air saying:
I wish you were
I
wish you were here
I wish you were here
Wish you were here
Deidara sat up and looked across the water, a few grains of sand trickling from his hair. He chuckled quietly. Sand. It was like fate WANTED him to think about Sasori.
He laid back down and put his hand up as if reaching towards the stars. Suddenly, a hand intertwined its fingers with his and a pair of lips met his own(1).
Sasori-danna… he thought as the familiar redhead pulled away and smiled down at him.
"I guess wishes do come true after all," murmured the redhead, having wished upon the same star from Heaven.
