Disclaimer: I don't own the characters. That is all.

A/N: A super, super, super short one-shot. I'm not sure I've ever written anything this short. Still though, I think the shortness fits. At least, I hope! This actually stemmed from another idea I had. I still might try to write that one (a Lanie/Esposito one), but right now, this is what you get! I'm sorry it's so short, I hope that doesn't keep you from enjoying!

Esposito smiled. She was the most beautiful baby he had ever seen. Granted, he might be a tad biased, but he was sure. She had been in this world for three hours, at the most, and already he didn't know how he had survived without her.

He felt a warm pair of arms wrap around his abdomen. He knew who it was. "What are you doing out of bed?"

Lanie shrugged her shoulders. "Don't worry. The nurse is around the corner, with a wheelchair."

Esposito shook his head, but knew when Lanie made up her mind about something, woe to the person who tried to fight her. "She's beautiful."

Lanie's heart melted. She knew he had doubts about being a father, but already he was a great one. The fact that he was standing here staring at their baby proved it.

Lanie slid around to stand beside him and gaze on their baby as well. "She's perfect," Lanie agreed.

"She looks like you. She's a lucky baby," Esposito joked.

Lanie nodded. "She is lucky. But it's because she's got you for her father."

"Somebody's still got some drugs in her system," Esposito teased. He didn't want her to know how much her statement had affected him. His biggest fear in having this baby was making every mistake possible in raising her. He still wasn't sure he was doing anything right. His daughter was crying in that nursery after all. The nurse had smiled and assured him at was normal, but what did she know?

Lanie poked him, hard, in the back. "I do not! You are going to be an amazing father. Thank you for making me a mommy."

Esposito closed his eyes and sighed. His heart swelled with love for this wonderful woman. He didn't know what he would do without her.

He quickly turned and wrapped his arms around her. He wanted to hug her so hard her ribs would crack, but being mindful of the fact she just pushed a human being out of her body, he gently cradled her. He kissed her gently, but not without a good amount of passion. "I love you so much. Thank you for making me a daddy."

Awww! I wanted them to have time with their baby, but I just couldn't bring myself to write any more. Ending it there just seemed too perfect. I hope you liked it! If you did, review, if you didn't review! Basically, if you read it, review! Thanks for reading!
