Mr. Puck's POV
Running, running. That's all I'm doing now. These horrible, petrifying wolves on may tail all the time. My owner, Aelita, has forgotten about me. Oh, Aelita! We had the best of times when she was still around, tea parties, the easy life. No time now to re-live the past. The past is the past, keep moving forward. The alpha wolf stares me down with his golden orange eyes, gaining speed. Never missing a step, left foot, right foot, alternating foot positioning. Oh no! I tripped up! The dirty brown fur of the alpha wolf almost brushes my skin, when I back up into a hole in a rotting tree. Rest, I need rest. I can't stay here long, the wolf almost has my leg! Aelita, Aelita, where are you now! I need you. Then, I feel it. I feel her, she's watching me, hoping for me! Why, I don't know but it has given me the strength to keep moving, to go back home. The Hermitage, the place where Aelita would hide me if she couldn't take me with her on one her trips; the hole in the wall in her room. Oh! The wolf had gotten my forest green hat and my crème colored side! I need to move! I pulled away, ripping the hat, and weakening my side mesh. Running for my life again, as always nowadays. It will end today, I know it, I can feel it. I come up to the hate of the house and step through the crack. The 'wolves can't get through' I think. I was wrong! The leader of the wolves has jumped over the gate I just climbed through. I jump up the stairs as the wolf tries to figure out where I went. I reach the top just as the wolf sees me! The sense of Aelita starts to fade just as I get half way through the second set of stairs, to her room. The wolf went the wrong way! I sigh relief but keep moving, in case he uses his sense of smell. I get to the top into her baby-pink colored walls, or that's what color I remember. The color is now graying, old, paint-chipped from walls old. I climb to the picture I used to hide behind. I hear the wolf come up the stairs, just as I get into position and seal myself off from danger. 10 minutes later the wolf gives up! I can live in peace forever now.
9 years later
I sit up, as I hear something. I haven't move from this safe, dust-covered place for what feels like 10 years, give or take. I hear screaming, of a girl. The picture of a tree I was hiding behind was ripped down. I don't move a single muscle. Aelita. Aelita. AELITA! Beautiful, pink-haired Aelita! She's back! As she picks me up in her hands, I hear her whisper,
"Mr. Puck!"
I am the happiest little elf in the world! Then again, there aren't a lot of elves in the world, are there?
