Air travel was not my preferred method of travel.

Glancing around from my window seat I could see strangers pack themselves into the crowded aisles of the plane. My neighbor was ,luckily, already asleep and the other passenger at the end of my aisle was talking with their friends located in the aisle across from us. I stared down at my phone, mentally noting that I had to call my family when I reached my destination to let them know I was safe.

Brushing my long, dirty blonde curls away from my face I put my phone away and turned my attention towards the flight attendant, who was reciting the emergency exits to us. Once she was finished, the other passengers and myself got ourselves comfortable for our long trip to England. My brown eyes looked down at my itinerary for my vacation. I turned towards the window watching as we took off towards Europe, a smile had surfaced on my face as I thought about all the fun I was going to have. After I pass my classes, I remind myself. I'm traveling from California to London to study abroad for my History degree. I can have my fun during my breaks going to the restaurants, gardens, pop culture sites, and WWII sites. I daydream and watch as we're lifted up into the sky, the Florida Airport leaving my sight. When it was acceptable to have electronics out, I quickly pulled out my laptop and logged on.

'Welcome Carmen Ramirez!' my laptop greeted in text. I selected a folder labeled 'Videos', plugged in my headphones, and proceeded to binge some Transformers G1 Cartoons. A wide grin stretched across my lips as I watched the many animation errors and Cybertronians appear on my screen. I've always enjoyed Transformers no matter the version and G1 was what first got me hooked. I shake slightly in silent laughter because most people think that because I'm twenty-one I got into Transformers due to the Michael Bay movies when I actually got into the Transformers because a G1 episode appeared on my T.V. when I was channel surfing. Now I've been a fan for seven years.

After a few hours I decide to call it quits for a while. I didn't want to drain my battery all at once. Taking off my headphones, I realized the flight attendant was talking again.

"Ladies and Gentleman I understand that some of you feel uneasy about travelling through the Bermuda Triangle. Rest assured you have nothing to be afraid-" The plane bounced from some turbulence that resulted in some passengers gripping their arm rests, myself included. "No need to worry everybody it is just some minor turbulence." She tried to reassure us. Suddenly we encountered turbulence but this time much more violent.

Then we started losing altitude.

Fast.

Screaming was all I could hear from all around. Parents gripped their children to keep from losing them, sleeping passengers awoke from the screaming and joined in. The poor flight attendant tried to issue directions to us but our panic was too strong. I was paralyzed with fear as my stomach danced with anxiety, knuckles white from my grip on the armrest. I managed to glance out my window one last time before we all plunged into the cold Atlantic.
