Today's prompt: A damsel in distress who is actually a villain that captures the heroes that have come to 'save' her.
So this is her thinking
This wasn't the first or the last time people have fallen into the dangerous web she weaves.
She found out after someone kidnaped her and she killed him in self-defence that she gains their memories and whatever adrenalin was coursing through their bodies. It was addicting to her. After her family found out what she had done they shunned her.
It made feeding the addiction all the easier. She started out with them. One by one she took their lives and fed the monster she had become. That was three years ago.
She hated what she had become, but she couldn't stop. It had become easy to put herself in danger, she knew someone will save her, she knocks them out, drags them away and kills them before they even know what's going on, or someone would turn the tables on her and she would become the prey.
She pulled the same routine, but this time there was a different result, and all she could see was black.
She was finally free. And that was better than any kill she ever had.
