I was in my room humming to myself when I heard a thump on the roof. That could only be one thing. Kyo.
So I got up and went to the roof. When I was almost there I could hear him talking about something. I stood still hoping I could hear what he was saying. What I heard made my heart stop
"I was so stupid! Why did I do that? She must hate me for sure now. Why can't I tell her how I fell?"
I remembered what had happened earlier that day. I was walking along the hall when I say the girls crowding around Kyo again. His face was flustered and I knew he would blow soon so I grabbed his arm and pulled him away.
"T-thanks... I guess."
"Anytime."
We started walking when I noticed he was still flustered. "Kyo is something wrong?"
"Huh? Oh. No, everything's fine."
I looked at him but he still didn't seem fine so I made the mistake of asking again. "Are you sure? You look flustered?"
He turned around with anger emanating from his eyes. "Look. When I say I am fine I mean I'm fine! What's with you? Do you bug everybody like this?"
Once he said it I knew he didn't mean it and I knew Kyo's temper by know, but... but... But it still hurt. I looked back at Kyo on the roof.
"Kyo."
Kyo turned around with a surprised and horrorified expression on his face. "W-what are you doing up here?"
"Hello to you too." I smiled as I climbed onto the roof and sat down next to Kyo.
"Tohru, about today..."
"It's okay"
"What?"
"Kyo-kun, I know your temper by now and I know you don't always mean what you say."
Kyo looked at me and smiled, well it was more of a smirk/grin. He was still hiding his feelings inside.
"So, Kyo-kun. What are you doing out here so late?"
"I couldn't sleep. And you?" A worried expression overtook his face. "I didn't wake you up did I?"
"No. No. I couldn't sleep either."
I looked up to the night sky. But through the corner of my eye I saw him watching me. He caught me and turned his face to the sky too.
"Kyo-kun, is something wrong?"
He turned to me and I thought he would get mad again but all he said was "Did you hear what I said earlier? When I was sitting by myself."
I was stunned. The words hit me again 'Why can't I tell her how I feel?' I snapped myself out of it.
"Uh... No. I thought you were just sitting up here, looking at the stars. Don't you always?" Kyo blushed a little. "Wait. Kyo-kun, did you say you were talking to yourself?"
I started laughing and he soon joined. I won't tell him that I know, or how I feel. At least not yet. (wink)
