A cub is born in a wonderful lush green land, ruled by two fair respectable lions. Sarabi and Mufasa. Everything had been going smoothly until the cub was born. Trouble is brewing in the Pridelands and a darkness lurks over the shoulder of the good with the intent to end the lineage of the great king Mufasa forever. We're talking Kings And Succession. "Well of course he is, he looks like you."

"Charmed.' she sighed gazing down at him lovingly' I can't believe he's really here, my little boy; Simba." She purred out, licking the head of the little golden cup that slept peacefully in her paws.

Mufasa lay by his mate's side, watching over his the little cub: his son. He had waited so long to have a little boy to call his own. And now he had one, one that he would protect, love, teach, and care for for his entire life, until the day he stopped breathing. "You're right you know dear, he is beautiful." Mufasa whispered to his mate who continued to groom his son's head.

She stopped momentarily, and looked up at him smiling lovingly. "I know… And he's all ours.' she whispered before leaning in close to Mufasa and nuzzling him' I love you Muffy. You and our baby boy."

"I love you too Sarabi." Mufasa said as his little boy mewed in Sarabi's paws, he laughed softly. "And you to Simba… and you too."

A/N Hello people, that is it for now. I'm sorry that this is so short, but with my schedule so packed I wanted to make sure you guys really wanted this story. For those who are curious this story will follow Simba during his earlier years and how he became the king he was. This is an AU, so it will differ somewhat majorly from the story. Not that drastic. ANyway, review if you want a real chapter, and let me know anything about this. Any ideas? Questions about my writing? Etc.
