What I've Been Looking For

Chapter 1

Uzumaki Naruto walked the streets of Konoha feeling both lovestruck and depressed at the same time. And he knew exactly who made him feel that way. Hyuga Hinata. The beautiful, shy brunette always made him feel a sensation of happiness whenever he was around her. Even though it was only 3 months after he realized this, (and 3 months after the end of the Chuunin Exams.) he has never felt this way about someone before.

But, he was too late. It seems that the female Hyuga was over Naruto and started going out with Inuzuka Kiba.

'Stupid Kiba!' he thought. 'I can't believe I waited so freakin' long! She could've been going out with me if I hadn't been so stupid! CRAP!'

Naruto walked into the park. What he didn't know was that Hinata was in the park as well, (alone) and was watching him from behind a tree.

'He looks so sad.' She thought. 'Look at him! His hands are in his pockets and he doesn't have that same adorable grin he always has on! What's going on in his head?'

Naruto eventually got tired of walking and sat down on a bench and he began to sing. (What people don't know is that he's actually a really good singer.)

Naruto:

It's hard to believe

that I couldn't see,

that you were always

there beside me.

'Hey! I know this song!" Hinata thought.

She gathered up all her courage to sing with the Uzumaki boy. (Another thing people don't know is that HInata's a really good singer too.) She walked towards him and started to sing the next verse.

Hinata:

Thought I was alone

with no one to hold,

but you were always

right beside me.

Naruto looked beside him feeling both shocked and completely ecstatic that his crush is right there, singing with him!

Hinata:

This feeling's like no other.

I want you to know

Both:

That I've never had someone

that knows me like you do,

the way you do!

And I've never had someone,

as good for me as you,

no one like you!

So lonely before

I finally found

what I've been looking for!

Hinata:

Oooh ooh ooh.

"Wow! You have an amazing singing voice!" complimented Naruto.

"Thanks, so do you." Hinata complimented back.

"Thanks." Naruto answered. "What're you doing here alone? Where's Kiba?"

"Oh, we kinda broke up. I didn't like him as much as I like...someone else." She said.

'Oh great! Now she likes some other guy! That's just perfect!' he thought. "Oh." Naruto said looking down. "Who is it?" he asked. He was afraid of the answer.

"O-Oh, u-um." Hinata stammered. She gathered up the rest of the courage she had, (if there was any left) to do something no one would expect her to do. (not even herself) She leaned in and gave him a long kiss on his lips. "Who do you think?" she asked sarcastically.

Naruto leans in and gives her a long kiss back. "Does that show you who I like?" he asked sarcastically.

"Yes it does." she answered.

"Hinata?" Naruto asked. "Will you go out with me?"

"Yes Naruto-kun."

They walk out of the park holding hands. I guess it goes to show that they found exactly what they were looking for.
