The following story is set towards the end of 413 and goes in to the time between season 4 & 5. In my world Chase did not date Soraya and is not as big a jerk as most people feel he is. I will take some scenes from 414 – 418 so dialogues or scenery will be similar or the same.
It was a beautiful evening. The sounds of children playing in the park across the street, the sound of traffic, the smell of food from the restaurant near by all made it to her. She was able to appreciate the world again, he senses were working again. She was content, still sad but content.
Amy though back to the time in the barn when Ty and her had parted ways. It still seemed like a bad dream to her. She wanted to make it work so badly but maybe she had to come to terms with life without Ty. Maybe it was for the best.
Take tonight for instance; Amy had enjoyed catching a movie with Chase. He was surprisingly tolerable. They had laughed and chatted about everything and nothing through dinner. She liked having a new friend. She was getting a chance to start over.
Coming out of her fog, Amy heard Chase calling out to her, "earth to amy" "what planet have you disappeared to?"
"Sorry Chase, I was just enjoying the fresh air, I really had a good time, I am glad you convinced me to go out but its getting pretty late, I better head home" Amy said as she began walking towards her truck.
Chase smiled, he had been waiting so long to see Amy enjoy herself around him, to give him a chance, "yes Amy we did have a great time and I would really like to do this again"
Turning back to look at Chase, jogging to catch up with her, she smiled back at him taking a moment to take in what he had said and simply nodded. Not yes but not no.
Pulling open the truck door, Amy slid in and waved at Chase. Tapping the top of her truck he backed away and disappeared in to the night. Amy just sat there confused, excited, and tired. Suddenly, the familiar buzz of her phone brought her back from her thoughts. It was Ty.
