Well, like so many others, I've fallen utterly, completely and totally in love with Avatar: The Last Airbender and, you guessed it! The awesome Prince Zuko! XD Heh. Well, my poetry was inspired by my friend Shoyeth AKA Ryuusui (Her penname! Go read and review her poem, Amber Eyes! It's great.) and it's slightly drabble-ish. 0.o Oh well.

They Say
They say opposites attract,
Do you think that's true?
I certainly think so,
Because I've fallen for you.
They say forbidden fruit is always sweeter,
Do you think that's true?
I think it is,
Because I could never have you.
We are different,
Like light and dark.
You are like water,
Serene and tranquil,
While I represent fire,
Blazing and hot-tempered.
Yet we are alike,
We both have suffered,
We both bear scars.
Physical and emotional.
I can see the pain in your eyes,
And the determination and drive.
So much like me,
Only your reasons are good,
And mine are bad.
We are enemies,
On opposite sides.
Surely it isn't meant to be.
Yet it's odd,
How we always cross paths.
Is it fate?
Or mere coincidence?
Either way,
My love is forbidden.
Just because,
We oppose each other.
Besides,
Blue clashes with amber.
