Yes! I'm back with another Avatar poem! -Does a little dance- I was inspired by the thought of having to go back to school and thinking about peer pressure and the pressure of having to finish homework and stuff… o.o" Odd, huh?
Anyways, on with the fic! Er… poem!
But first…
Disclaimer: Sadly, I do not own Avatar: The Last Airbender. -Sigh- So don't sue! Now excuse me while I go weep in the corner at the fact that Zuko will never truly be mine...
Pressure
Pressure.
Isn't that
What gets us all?
Pushing us,
Weighing down on us.
Until we fall,
Until we crack,
Until we break down completely.
Pressure.
It's such an infuriating thing.
It's like a demon leech.
Draining us,
Until we're nothing
But an empty,
Hopeless,
Shell.
And then
It swoops in for the kill,
Utterly destroying you.
At least,
That's what I think.
And I should know.
I'm the Avatar.
It's my duty,
To save the world,
And master the elements.
Water, Earth, Fire
And Air.
All by summer's end.
Now that's pressure.
----
Owari.
How weird is this? O.o It's in Aang's POV and shows a slightly more mature, concerned side of him about being the Avatar and having to master all the elements, etc. yada, yada yada.
As you can probably tell, I don't have much confidence in my fanfic writing/poetry skills. XD
But you can help my self-esteem by pressing that little review button down there and just typing a few comments! -Grins- Go on, you know you want to. -Wink, wink- -Nudge, nudge-
