In a world where every student hopes to make it into a hero school, it's rare to find one that actually doesn't strive towards that singular goal. What's more, to find one that would rather be the villain of the story is a almost unheard of.Even for fifteen year old Kokio Jun, being the bad guy was a distant thought until this day. It started like every other mundane day, he sat at his desk in the back corner of his classroom reading a book, one of his favorites past times no matter the location. As usual he was completely ignoring the teacher and his lesson. Jun had no difficulty when it came to keeping up perfect attendance but he was like a phantom, he came in at first bell, never spoke to anyone and left when the class endes. At this point even the teachers had learned to just give up on him. They spoke alongside each other in the teachers lounge more than once about how Kokio Jun wasn't going to make it far, proved daily when no amount of pushing by the staff had made any difference so they instead ignored him as he did them. Perhaps they had been pushing him in the wrong way, or maybe Jun just didn't learn the way they wanted him to. Regardless, he was nothing more than a shadow to everyone around him.
"Um..excuse me.." Jun heard a girl speaking to him, but he really didn't care to be involved so he continued reading. "K-Kokio?" The fact that she used his name means he can't continue to pretend not to hear her anymore. Jun would rather her let him be but unfortunately he still felt her gaze upon him.
Jun slowly turned to look up at her, a few pieces of his dark blue and silver hair fell in front of his face as their eyes met. "Yes?" He noted how overly excited she appeared. Unbeknownst to Jun, his hair and eyes had been a major talking point for the female students since middle school.
Her cheeks had turned a soft shade of pink while she spoke. "Would you like to go see a movie..or go get food with me sometime?" She spoke quickly, now visibly nervous.
"No." Jun pushed his shoulder length hair back out of his face and tucked it casually behind his ear. The girl nodded, he cheeks brighter as she leaned back into her chair. On the other side of him a boy leaned over and tapped on his desk. Sighing heavily he looked over at the boy.
"That was way uncool Kokio. That took a lot of courage and you kinda acted like a dick." Jun shrugged as his eyes drifted back to the book. The boy beside him grabbed his arm, "Dude are you gonna apologize to her? She looks like she is about to cry."
Jun rolled his eyes and looked over at her, she had buried her face into her hands. "Why apologize when I did nothing wrong though..." He muttered to himself as he activated his quirk. He watched as the girl beside him looked up from her palms and smiled happily as if she had not a care in her little world.
The girl appeared full of energy and reinvigorated but the male on his other side looked far from pleased. "So instead of apologizing for being an ass you just use your quirk to make her feel better?" Jun buried his eyes back into his book and ignored the tsks, clicks, and other sounds coming from beside him for the rest of the class. Not a single atom in him wanted to get involved anymore then he already was. Once class let out he grabbed his backpack and headed out of his locker to grab his things before heading home. Due to his reputation of being a loner he always ended up at the lockers alone, a burden he didn't mind to bear. He opened up his locker and grabbed his tennis shoes, as he turned around an arm shoved him back against the lockers, pressing hard against his throat. "I'm so tired of your stupid shitty attitude Kokio. Do you think you are better then everyone else or something?" Jun felt his body struggling to breath but his green eyes stared lazily back at him. "Answer me damn it!"
Jun felt the corner of his mouth form into a small smirk. His voice came out in a pained wince, "I am better. To be perfectly honest, I'm smarter than you too." Jun activated his quirk once more, but for the first time in his life he allowed it to change the mood around him into a state of tired despair. Jun had hardly done anything worse than making people feel drowsy in the past. This time using his quirk was different for Jun, this boy had pushed buttons that had he didn't know he had and he was eager to punish him for that. In front of him the wannabe hero slowly lowered his arm and stared down at the ground as if in deep thought.
After several seconds the boy looked up, the fight had left his eyes. "I'm so tired.." He walked towards the window and peered down from their spot on the second floor. "Do you think if i fell from here I could sleep for a really long time Kokio?" He pushed open the window and climbed through it without another word. The sound of screams outside were followed by a lout thump sound. It shot through Jun like lighting bringing him back to the moment. He ran to the window and looked down. Below him in the grass lay the boy who was just bullying him. People were scrambling around his limp body. One girl looked up at the empty open window confused on why he jumped. Back at the lockers Jun smirked as he put on his tennis shoes. He slung his bag over his shoulder as he walked out the door and down the stairs. Phone calls were made to all the homes that night. The boy that jumped didn't die thankfully, just broke a couple bones in his arm and knocked himself unconscious. However an attempt at suicide for any reason is still important enough to tell other families.
The next morning at school Jun was told to go see the principal the second his bag hit his desk. He quietly walked to the office, a book tucked under his arm. To his surprise his mother and father were also there waiting on him, as well as the school counselor and principal. Behind the principal stood a man dressed in black with what appeared to be white rags wrapped around his neck. Jun sat between his nervous looking parents as the principal started to talk. "Thank you for taking the time to come and speak with us. Due to the nature of Mr. Kokio's quirk we thought it best to have a pro hero here to meet with us." He nodded to the man behind him, "This is Eraser Head, he's quirk allows him to cancel out someones quirk."Jun had no doubt his parents were nervous because of the hero. "Now then...it is believed that Itsuki jumped from the window because of Kokio's quirk." His mother covered her mouth to stifle a small scream and his father simply turned to look at him. It became painfully obvious how aware he was.
"Is this true Jun?" His father inquired.
"Yeah, he was choking me.." Jun responded easily. The counselor wrote something down on her notepad. Eraser head watched him silently, as if he was reading his face.
"Mr. Kokio..he could have died. This is very serious. It's been decided by the school board that this school is just not the right fit for you." The man looked away from Jun and to his parent, down to a small brochure in front of him. "There is a school where kids that...aren't compatible with other kids can go to. Troubled youth tend to fit in better there."
His mother shouted back at him, tears dripping down her eyes. "What? My boy is not troubled! You heard him! That other boy was bullying him!" She pointed at the woman writing in her notes. "What are you writing? My Jun is a good boy!!"
On the opposite end of the reaction spectrum his father simply touched his wife's hand and spoke softly. "Jun can control his quirk perfectly honey..he could have canceled it before the boy jumped. He also just showed no remorse when questioned either.." Jun yawned and flipped the pages of the book between his fingers. It's true he didn't feel bad, he didn't feel much of anything on the matter. He realized when he was a little boy that feelings were just something that didn't affect him. Jun presumed it had something to do with his quirk. It wasn't that he didn't have emotions, more so it was as if those emotions were drilled down into a numb bliss. He could feel happiness, sadness, anger, but just barely. Social interaction was a waste of time due to that. After filling out some paperwork Jun and his family went to retrieve his stuff from his locker and his bag from the classroom. Silence hovered in the classroom while he snatched the bag off his desk. The girl that had asked him out watched quietly, now terrified of him. He was starting at the new school the following day,so what she thought of meant nothing. After a silent ride home he went up stairs into his room and pulled his book out of his bag. No point in getting bothered over it.. Jun thought to himself as he got comfortable on his bed and began to read.
The next morning his mother quietly opened his door and walked in with a small stack of clothes. She sat it down on the foot of the bed and shook him gently to wake him. "Jun honey...your new uniform is on your bed. Breakfast is almost ready." He propped himself up slowly and yawned as she hurried out of the room. He looked over at a pair of navy blue slacks, a white short sleeve button up and a long sleeve navy blue blazer with large white buttons down the front of it. After putting on the uniform he pulled his hair back into a messy bun and headed downstairs for breakfast. His mother had already left his plate of food on the table. He imagined she might be frightened of him a little.
"Juni!" Jun's older brother Ichi wrapped his arm around the younger's neck and hugged him close to him. "Make sure you find the toughest kid in the school and beat em up so you become the top dog!" Ichi, 17, was the middle son of three. His hair color was similar to Jun's but it was hard to tell because he kept it buzzed down very short. He also had a quirk, though his wasn't as easily hidden as Jun's. Ichi could control electricity currents, a very useful quirk when a stormed knocked out the power, however his fingertips would spark from time to time so he always had to wear rubber lined gloves.
"Ichi don't encourage him to get into more trouble!" Matsumi, 19, the eldest brother, not to mention the top of his class in college. His quirk is the same as Ichi's, leaving Jun as the odd one out. "That uniform looks good on you Jun, try and stay out of trouble at this new school, and please don't stress mom out anymore." Jun quietly ate his breakfast while the other two chatted away. As with school, family breakfast was another activity where others talked around hum.Afterwards Matsumi dropped both boys off at their schools before heading off for university. Jun stood outside his new school, his green eyes scanning and taking it the area. He noticed that this school had a guard standing outside the entrance. He yawned as he approached the guard and showed his new student ID, with out a word the guard silently pointed in the direction of the office. Jun wondered if he knew he was a newcomer to the school. He noted as he walked through that the school didn't seem that different from his old school. Boring walls, lockers, classrooms and halls. He waited about 10 minutes in the office for the principal to call for him, he quietly stepped into his private office and he sat down across from him. The man behind the desk was tall and slender with stylish black hair and a pleasant smile. Jun couldn't help to admire how attractive his bone structure was.
"Have a seat Mr. Kokio, my name is Mr. Akiyama it's nice to meet you." Jun took notice of how softly Mr. Akiyama spoke. He opened a small binder with Jun's picture on the front, the man looked up when he saw Jun eyeing it. "We tend to have students here that have loads of paperwork and reports surrounding them so I've learned to just start with binders instead of small manila folders." He looked at a single sheet of paper held in by the metal rings. "I'm going to read off what we have on you, will you please correct me if we have anything incorrect?" He looked up a Jun who responded with a quiet nod. "You may have gotten away with that rude behavior at your last school but you will not here. When I ask questions we respond with Yes, Mr. Akiyama or No, Mr. Akiyama. Understand?"
"Yes Mr. Akiyama" Jun promptly responded. The principal had already begun to gain some respect in Jun's eyes.
"Good..Ok. Lets get started. Name Kokio Jun, Age 15, Quirk Aura Manipulation, IQ far above average, however grades at last school barely passable correct?"
"Yes Mr. Akiyama."
"So..you were sent here for using your quirk to try and have another student commit suicide is that correct?"
"Yes Mr. Akiyama." Jun watched him curiously, the man gave no readable reaction to his admittance like they did at his last school.
His principal scanned down the paper reading comments from his previous teachers. "Well. I'm quite happy to have join our school. I believe you are going to go far in life, now then, you will be alert and pay attention in class, and I expect top marks in all your classes." Mr. Akiyama paused while he spoke. "Ugh...sounds like theres a fight breaking out. You are dismissed, please see my secretary for your class schedule and homeroom." He shouted as he rushed out of the office. Jun headed out towards to the office desk feeling confused, he hadn't heard anything.
"Good Morning Mr. Kokio! My name is Miss Hirabayashi." She spoke in a high pitch but pleasant voice. "Mr. Akiyama's quirk is maximum hearing. Due to that he is a very on hands principal. He usually gets to the scene of incidents faster then the closest faculty member can. Any who here is you schedule," she sat a sheet down on the desk, "and your homeroom teacher is Mr. Nitta." She stood up and walked around her desk. "Let me show you the way." She smiled and held the office door open for them. They walked down the hall and rode an elevator up two flights before arriving. "Ah here we are. Room 312." She slowly opened the door and waved happily at the short gentleman standing in front of the class. He waved Jun in and the woman behind smiled as shut the door once he was inside.
Once again he fell into his familiar motions, Jun sat down in a typical school desk and prepared himself to slip into his quiet solitude world. He didn't particularly care if he had friends or not and he could easily make good grades like he was told to if he would simply do the work given to him. To his dismay however, his day would not go as planned. "Hey new kid!" Jun looked up at the desk in front of him, a teenage girl with bright, obviously dyed blonde hair grinned at him. Her voice was soft but excited, a strange combination to say the least. "My name is Yakahama Aoi! My quirk is controlling air. What's your name and quirk?"
Jun spoke quietly, not out of fear of punishment, but he just wanted her to go away. "My name is Kokio Jun...aura manipulation.."
"Woah! What can you do with that! It sounds awesome." She spoke rabidly, her eyes never leaving his.
"I can control the energy around me.." He spoke a little louder this time, this girl showed no fear of him.
Aoi leaned forward to talk more intimately, "No way? That's bad ass! Like, what can you do with that?" Jun looked around the classroom, causing Aoi to follow suit. She let out an audible gasp when she saw all the students around them lowering their heads to rest on their desks as if a sleeping gas had leaked in. "Woah! That would totes help in a sticky situation!" All the kids raised their heads as if they felt immediately better. "Are you planning on trying to get into a hero course because this is not the route heroes take!" She quietly laughed and turned back around in her desk. Jun shrugged, he'd never planned on being a hero to begin with.
After an easy and exceedingly uneventful first day he strolled down the emptying hallways lost in his own head. "Hey!"
Jun looked behind him at the blonde girl from his homeroom. "Oh hello again.."
Aoi snickered and slipped her arm into his arm, holding him against her as she started to walk. "How did you like your first day?" He looked down at her confused as they walked together. Jun stood at least 7 inches above her. No one had ever held him while walking before.
"It was just like my last school.." Jun casually responded.
"Kok-"
Jun shook his head, "Please just call me Jun, I don't really like being called Kokio."
"Jun then! Listen, how about we go catch a movie or something? You are like..super gorgeous Jun and I want to snag you for myself before anyone else gets a chance!" She leaned her head against his shoulder and laughed.
Jun smirked and turned his head to face her, "I'm gay. Sorry." She let go of his arm and stopped walking. No one had ever blurted out so easily before, at least not to her and it caused her pause.
"Wait...I still want to be friends Jun!" She chased behind him until she could wrap herself against him once more. They walked out of the school together, arms still locked. "Can I come over to your place?"
"What? I just met you why would I invite you to my house?" Jun tried to pull his arm away from her, he didn't want her anywhere near his personal space at home, or anywhere to be perfectly honest.
She leapt back from him and winked. "Don't be like that Jun! I just want to get to know you as quick as possible!" Aoi pulled out her cell phone and started rabidly typing something. "I'm telling my mom I'm going to my friends for a bit...and...lets go!" She slid her phone in her back pocket and grinned wide. He groaned and started to move toward the bus stop, mentally wishing her away. Unfortunately his wishes didn't come true, before he knew it he was standing out side of his house, and Aoi was still beside him. He heard a small whistle escape her lips. "Jun you didn't tell me you had such a big place!" She looked up at the 3 story house and grinned when her eyes met with Ichi's from the second floor balcony. "Is he gay too?" She whispered to Jun as he opened the door and walked in.
Ichi raced down the stares and jumped in front of them. "Juni you brought a girl home on your first day? And a cute one to boot!" Jun noticed Aoi blush and rolled his eyes. "I'm just joking, I know you prefer a more...testosterone filled approach." He laughed at his own joke as Jun and Aoi went upstairs to Jun's room. Once inside she grinned wide.
"Juni?" Jun groaned hearing it leave her lips. "I'm sorry sweetie but that's what your name is now." Jun tossed his bag on the floor and sat on the edge of his bed watching her. "I'm surprised at how open you are with people...I know a lot of people around here frown on homosexuality still.."
He shrugged his shoulders, crossing his legs. "My family has always been supportive, so I've never had to hide it. How long are you planning to stay here?" His expression became grimace watching her put her stuff down as if she was making her self at home. She sat down next to him on the bed and smiled at him. "You are very annoying do you know that?"
They could hear the front door open downstairs and Ichi's loud voice carry upward towards them. "Mom! Jun brought a girl home!" Jun looked at the girl beside him and sighed. He was never going to hear the end of this.
"You're family is like super nice! Not like mine at all, my dad used to rape me like, all the time, until I killed him of course." She snickered while she said the ending. "I started a tornado and used it to toss him right up into the engine of a passing airplane," She smirked from seeing Jun's raised eyebrow. "Don't worry, I made sure that the plane landed safely. My mom is alright but she allowed it to happen for a few years so.." Even though she spoke of sad and terrible things, her face showed no emotion beyond her small smile.
Jun pulled his hair up into a ponytail, his neck had begun felt a bit sweaty. He could feel Aoi's lustful stare beside him as he tied his hair up but he ignored it. "It's surprising that our only punishment was being sent to a different school. We are both murderers after all. Seems to be something wrong with the justice system."
Aoi's eyes never left his neck as she spoke, as if entranced by it. "A few years back the pro hero's had a run in with a teenager that killed his uncle and when they tried to apprehend him he used his quirk to blow himself up, taking out a few hero's with him. It caused a huge uproar because they found out later that his uncle had kidnapped a little girl and he killed him when he saved her. But since they assumed it was a villainous act they chased him down until the threat of inevitable death loomed over his head causing him to really do something a villain would do. Because of that they realized that just because a young person does something terrible, even murder, that they deserve a second chance to try and be a better person, of course why they did what they did plays a lot into the decision." She scooted an inch closer as she spoke.
Jun saw how she looked at him and he felt disgusted, but something told him that he was going to have a use for her in the future so he allowed it to continue. "Has it worked for you? Do you feel like you are going to be good enough to live in a normal society one day?"
"I'll have you know Juni that I was never bad or evil, so I'm sure I'll be just fine." She grinned sliding her hand onto his thigh.
Jun gently pushed her away from him. "I.am.gay." No amount of usage was going to make him want to "play" along with her any further. With that, their strange friendship had started.Albeit one sided st first.
Several months later the two of them had become only mildly closer. Jun felt like he knew everything that there was to know about Aoi,due to her never keeping her mouth closed, but she had still failed in learning nearly anything about him. Rarely not seen together people that didn't know he was gay assumed they were a couple. There was a group of teens that he could see watching him frequently but as with everything else, he could care less. One afternoon during lunch however, they made him care. "Mind if I sit with you guys?" Jun looked up from his bento at one of the girls from the group of creepers. "My name is Attani Ke, but you guys feel free to just call me Ke." Aoi smiled and starting chatting with her happily, even stupidly, but Jun felt something was off.
"What do you want?" Jun bluntly asked. Aoi smacked his shoulder for being rude.
Ke learned forward and smirked. "Our people have been watching Kokio here since the day he arrived." She turned to look at Aoi. "And you Yakahama, we know what both of your quirks are and we know what you did to wind up here. Help us steal some stuff and I won't make your lives living hell." Jun frowned at her threat. "Kokio, I know where you live, and who you live with..big brother Ichi has done some odd jobs for us before too."
"How did you meet him?" Jun asked, his voice bored. It was clear she was using Ichi as bait to hook him in.
Ke licked her lips and grinned. "I have my ways.." Jun hadn't noticed how white Aoi's face had gotten until he looked over at her to make a comment on how annoying the girl was. "Oh, I suppose I should mention, bringing up Ichi's past with us wasn't targeted for you Kokio."
Aoi glared at the girl before speaking. "I'll help, but leave Jun out of this."
Ke stood up and laughed at her. "Kokio helps or it's no deal." Jun looked back and forth between the two woman that both held secrets from him. With a sigh he agreed to help them out. "Perfect. We will text you two later, this is happening in 3 days and with Kokio on our side...we should have no problems at all." Aoi stood up and rushed out of the cafeteria without another word leaving Jun slightly perplexed. After school Jun noticed that Ichi was acting weird but he didn't bother to question it. Whatever that idiot had done to get wrapped up with those delinquents was none of his concern.
Not a word was mentioned about their meet up with Ke until the second day when she sent Jun a text requesting them to meet up at their little gangs hideout. Jun hardly thought it merited the title hideout, it was barely bigger than a tool shed and stood behind one of the member's house. Most likely was a tool shed turned into a shack. "What exactly do you need me for?" Jun asked a teen boy that stood in front of him. "I'd like to go home quickly.."
The gentleman named Okamoto smirked. "We are gonna break my buddy out of jail, and if you do a good job than we will do the real work later."
"Hey wait! That could stick us in jail! There's no way in Hell I am doing this!" Aoi shouted, her voice sounded strained.
Okamoto shrugged his shoulders at her, "I don't really need you, If Kokio here does his part right we should be able to walk right in and take him."
Jun shook his head as he spoke, "I can't turn the entire jail off, if you can get most of them in the same area I can knock them out but my quirk does have a limit." He half smiled watching Okamoto trying to figure out a solution. Damn idiot is going to get us all caught if he's in charge..Jun thought to himself. "Create a distraction and I'll do my part. Blow something up or smash something, just do that and let me know when it's my turn." Jun walked out of the hideout, quickly followed by Aoi.
"Jun wait!" Aoi grabbed his arm, "if you get caught you will end up in jail with the rest of those morons!" He brushed her off and turned down the sidewalk to head home, leaving her behind.
The following evening Jun met up with Okamoto outside the jail gates. "Look who decided to help us out after all." Jun saw the boy nod back at Aoi. "She offered to help make a distraction." He handed Jun an ear piece while putting his own in. "You will stay behind me until we get to the doors, then find somewhere to hide till I call you in on these babies." He rapped his own earpiece with his finger. Jun watched as Aoi used her quirk to lift them up and over the fence, she took his hand as the wind gently lifted them into the air and into the grassy field outside the jail. "That part was easy enough..." Okamoto whispered, they all crouched down as they raced through the shadows towards the building. A strange sheild hovered above them, Jun assumed it was another one of their quirks. Once outside the main doors Jun ran to hide behind a parked police car. He sat on the pavement with his back to the car waiting for the signal. Behind him he heard a loud explosion just before the sirens began sounding off. Patiently he waited as the sound of foot steps pounded on the pavement all around him. "Kokio you're up!" Jun slowly stood up while all the men and woman in uniform collapsed in front of them.
"You need to get him quickly, I doubt this is even half of them but we're in." Jun said quietly as he stepped over the sleeping bodies below him. "I'll go try to knock out as many as I can." He walked into a large hole busted in the side of the building. Several guards charged towards him just to fall unconscious like the rest as they drew near.
"Kokio you are fucking amazing!" Ke shouted as she ran towards the office.
He smirked as he pushed his quirk out further then he ever had. Men behind the bars shouted towards him for escape, their voices growing sloppy. Jun was tired of hearing them. "Jun?" He could hear Aoi's voice but his vision had begun to grow dark. "Jun! They got him let's go!" He could feel his arm being tugged. "Jun! Kokio let's go!" Jun heard a scream before he lost consciousness.
When Jun woke up he had a pounding headache and his forehead felt like it has something dried on it. "Jun!" He turned his head to see a very worried looking blonde.
"Did I pass out?" He asked as he sat up. "I guess I pushed to hard." He looked around realizing he was in his room. "How did I get here?"
She growled as she responded. "Those assholes just left you behind after you fainted! I had to use my quirk to get you home. You busted your head open but Matsumi stiched you up, he said it isn't as bad as I think it is.."
He tried to put on his most comforting smile, "Matsumi is going to be a doctor soon, trust him. Plus I'm alive and we didn't get caught. I'd call it a successful day.." Aoi sighed as she curled up in the bed next to him. They laid together silently until they both fell asleep, the very first time Jun shared a bed with someone.
Having chanced their fate and made it out alive and free, they started committing petty crimes together, from robbing gas stations, to five finger discounted shopping sprees. Every once in a while they would team up with Ke to take on bigger jobs. Like jewelry stores and banks. Even after two years of being partners in crime, Jun had hardly opened up to Aoi, but she had grown used to it. She knew he cared, just lacked the ability to show it most the time. When he was 17 he gave her a necklace with small emeralds decorating it that she wanted from store window. Aoi never asked but she knew he probably stole it. They wanted for nothing but robbery was an addiction they couldn't escape. For Jun it was a place he could be himself without being bothered.
"Jun baby, I'm so proud of you!" In no time at all it was all over, school had come to an end and adulthood was officially beginning. Jun gave his mom a soft, yet forced smile, he stood in his graduation suit in front of her, beside him Aoi stood in her outfit. "You too sweetie, I'm so proud of you both!" Aoi hugged her while she cried for the two of them. Aoi smiled bright, her own mother never showed that side of parenting to her.
"Yo Jun! We got one more job before Ke leaves for college, wanna join us?" Okamoto caught up with Jun as he was walking home. "I'm leaving town after this week so it'll be one last job for the old gang."
"Yeah I guess, what's the job?" Jun had lost the feeling he had gotten from breaking the law early on, and was just used to his lifestyle he had created for himself.
Okamoto handed him a small pamphlet. "There is an exhibition coming to the museum in the next town over, they are going to have stuff from like, thousands of years ago. I know there has to be some stuff there worth loads of cash."
Jun opened up the pamphlet and read through it. "Keep this job quiet, I don't want Aoi getting involved this time. Now that she's out of school she plans on joining the Yakuza officially so she can't be getting into trouble over something like this."
Okamota laughed and patted him on the back. "Kokio caring? Let's hope this isn't a bad omen." He smirked checking his phone. "It swings through the town starting tomorrow so let's meet at my place around 8 pm tomorrow night." He smiled as he walked away, holding the phone up to his ear.
The following evening they drove an hour to the museum, discussing the plans success on the way. They parked down the about a block over and walked towards the dark museum. "Whatever we take, you can keep." Jun said to everyone and no one at the same time. He didn't care to make any money out of this job, it was simply a time killer. Jun knocked out the guards posted outside and they busted the lock to sneak in. Okamoto scanned the darkness, his dim flashlight running over items in glass. After so many jobs together they had their system down to a science. One quirk to fry the alarms, one to take care of the guards, and one to use brute force. The rest were all backup in case something went wrong. Quietly they stepped over sleeping people on their way to the main attraction area. Jun noticed that his partners had begun pulling out their bags to toss stuff in. "Don't leave any fin-" Jun heard someone come up being him, but he was to late to use his quirk, he turned quickly to confront them and stood frozen.
"Kokio Jun, I had hoped we wouldn't run into each other again like this.." Jun recognized him as Eraser Head back from his last school. "If you had been one of my students I would have expelled you on day one.Its truly amazing you managed to graduate from any school." He tried to use his quirk but nothing was happening, in fact, people had begun to stir. "It would be a lie though if I said I hadn't been expecting to feel the sudden draining of my energy one day. Especially since your own town has been dealing with a lot drowsiness lately." Jun noted how red the hero's eyes were, hinting to him that his eyes must remain open for his quirk to work. Jun turned to escape and gasped seeing all the others pinned to the walls with what appeared to be red feathers. "You won't get very far, I'm here for you after all."
"Son of a bitch" Jun whispered under his breath as he felt a soft breeze gently brush his cheek. The room erupted into a cyclone of wind, knocking the feathers loose and freeing everyone. Jun took the chance and used the mayhem to run out of the building. He felt something sting his face just above his eye as he ran but with the wind storm throwing things everywhere it would be practically impossible to escape unharmed. "Aoi run! The pro's are here." He grabbed the girl, blinking to get the blood out of his eye. They hid in the shadows of the trees outside until an opening appeared and he almost screamed when she rose them both up high into the air. After adjusting to seemingly floating in midair he looked down to see Eraser Head run outside and look around for him.
"Oh no, what happened to your eye? I hope that wasn't one of my feathers that sliced up that cute face." Jun and Aoi slowly turned to their left to see a man standing in the air, large feathery wings gently flapping behind him. "You probably should have let him catch you down there, you're gonna be in even more trouble now that you ran." Jun tried to see his face better, but the dark sky kept it hidden in shadows. Jun smirked as he activated his quirk again. "Ah...so this is what you do." The winged man said weakly just before he fell from the sky, nearly falling on Eraser Head. Aoi used the wind to shoot them off as fast as they could go before the people on the ground had a chance to look up. They finally landed on the rooftop outside of her open bedroom window and they both ducked in.
"What the Hell...how did you find us Aoi?" Jun asked while absentmindedly pulled his long hair off his sweaty back as he paced around the room. "Those weren't cops we were dealing with, the heroes are after us now..fuck. Stay inside for a couple days Aoi." Jun wasn't concerned for himself, not nearly as much as he should be but he didn't want to get her involved and yet there she was. He climbed back out her window and jumped down before she could argue. Jun quickly walked home, sticking to the shadows, his footsteps practically silent. He unlocked his door and quietly raced into his own room, shutting his door behind him. Jun turned the light on as he pulled off his sweat covered t-shirt.
"Hi again." Jun heard the voice from before and quickly jerked around. On his bed sat a man with blonde hair, head phones and large glasses. Behind him were large closed wings, their red color was hard to forget from the museum. "Did you really think you could get away? Give me more credit man."
Jun slowly grabbed his computer chair and sat down, his legs feeling weak. "Shit..I'm busted huh?" Even in the face of imprisonment he couldn't help but notice how attractive the man was that sat on his bed. The blonde man walked towards him and lowered to his knees in front of Jun. He gently lifted Jun's chin with his thumb. "What are you doing?" Jun asked.
"You are like...perfect." He tilted Jun's face from one side to another. Jun felt his gloved finger touch near where he had felt the sting above his eye, his cheeks turned slightly pink. The winged man smiled. "Flushed cheeks...that's exactly the response I was hoping for. To bad I have to arrest you though." He stood up and held his out hand towards Jun. "Just so you can tell the others, you were apprehended by the one and only Hawks." Jun let out a weak laugh and shoved his head straight into Hawks gut, knocking him backwards. Jun turned around running for the door but the handle was suddenly sliced off by a feather, almost as smooth as butter. "Tsk Tsk my young Kami, if you play hard to get this is going to turn out badly for you." Hawks held a large sharp feather up to his neck and kicked opened the bedroom door, leading him down the stairs past his shocked family members. "Wow, what cute brothers.." he muttered to himself as they walked out the front doors. Outside in the yard stood a cop and the hero Eraser Head.
"Good job Hawks, we will take it from here." The cop said as he opened the door to the patrol car. "Eraser Head will stay with us to keep his quirk under control." Jun looked back at the winged man, Hawks winked seductively at him as he sat down in the car and the door was shut for him.
Jun sat in his cell, his head against the wall, his eyes closed. He always knew he would end up in this place eventually. If he could get his hands on some books he would be alright with the solitude. There was no reason to bother using his quirk, he couldn't get out either way. Jun could hear crying from multiple cells. He pitied them and their weak constitutions, even so he decided to use his quirk for good once more, all around the sound of happy chit chat and laughter filled the air as he brought the energy level up to a max. "What a crazy quirk you have little Kami!" Jun opened eyes to see Hawks standing on the other side of the bars. "Proof that you aren't actually evil is echoing all around us.."
Jun stood up and walked towards the bars, curious of the man,"I'm not a deity of any kind, why do you keep calling me one?" Jun may be a genius but he lacked severe human interaction, causing some things to simply pass over him. Jun leaned forward, putting his hands on the bars between them. To his surprise Hawks smiled at him with a grin that made his heart jump around inside his chest.
"Have you looked in a mirror Kokio? If you aren't a God then some form of a Spirit of Beauty had to have reached down to hand select you for perfection." Hawks tilted his head as he spoke, his eyes smiling. "Agree to stop this life of pointless crime, date me, annnd I'll convince the judge to let you out for good behavior." He laughed when Jun didn't react to his offer. "Most criminals would have jumped at the chance to get out, but not you huh?"
Jun rolled his eyes and sat back down on the small bed. Jun had committed a lot of crimes and tried to escape from the the police as well as pro heroes. Crimes like his didn't receive punishments as simple as a slap on the wrist. "I highly doubt I could escape with no time in here, even with a Pro Hero supporting me.." Hawks rested his arms again the bars, watching him, Jun felt the glare of the sharp eyes on him, he wanted to meet them, to stare back into the beautiful golden eyes at least once but he was to conflicted by his feelings for the strange hero. Instead Jun stared down at his hands, wishing the awkward moments away from existence.
"Who was the girl that helped you escape earlier?" Jun nodded, they had finally come to the point, "she had a pretty powerful quirk, she would have made a crazy great hero." Jun slowly looked at him but remained silent. "Ah...I see. Well not a big deal, I'll find her on my own then." Jun stood up to argue when a large crash shook the wing of the building they were in. "Oh maybe she will find me instead!" Hawks playfully winked at Jun again, once more making his heart race just before he raced off to where the sound happened. Jun could hear screams as explosions rocked all around him.
"Jun!" He saw Okamoto skid to a stop in front of his cell. "Were here to bust you out! Not as smooth as when you did it..." Okamoto grabbed hard on the bars and uses his quirk to rip them open. "But we can still get away. Let's go!" He opened a hole large enough to climb through. Jun sighed watching him, he was ready to be there, why wouldn't anyone just let him be. He climbed out of his cell and raced off in the direction Hawks had ran to try and help Aoi before you did something idiotic. Ahead of him in the mess all he saw Aoi using fierce blasts of air to throw guards into the walls around her.
"Stop." Jun muttered as he hurried to her. She had to stay out of trouble, had to remain under the radar or there would be be hell to pay when her brother found out. They made eye contact just as something powerful slammed into Jun knocking him into the wall. "Wha?"
Hawks grinned at him as his feathers shot out and pinned Jun to the wall. "Sorry Kami-chan, you need to stay out for a minute." Why does he keep giving me so many damn pet names!!! Jun growled in his head.
"Juni!!" Aoi's voice sounded terrified, she blasted Hawks away from him and smashed him down into the pavement. Jun saw blood spreading out from where Hawks face lay, unmoved. Jun shook his head 'no' at her but she had stopped paying attention him, she only focused on destroying Hawks. Her body gave off a dark aura that Jun had never felt before and it terrified him to see her approach the man on the ground. Jun groaned seeing Hawks move to sit up, his face had blood dipping off of it, but he still manage to smile at Jun. Even his teeth had turned red from blood. "You bastard I'll kill you!!" Aoi screamed at him as she activated her quirk, sucking the oxygen out of the room. It was an attack without mercy or conviction. Hawks, as well as the other guards, cops, and criminals had all fallen to their knees, clutching their throats. Jun wanted so badly to cough but there was nothing but choking. Using the last of his strength he made her feel pure white happiness just before fading into darkness.
Jun felt someone slapping his cheek hard, but not hard enough to wake up from his dream. He was high up in the sky, floating in the clouds with an angel holding him close. "Kokio...Kokio-chan..." Jun moaned hoping to shoo away the voices, he had finally reached heaven and someone was already trying to ruin it.
"Try calling him Jun, he hates being called Kokio." He heard a female voice whisper.
"Jun huh? OK..Jun wake up!" The voice grew louder, pulling at him. He felt the angel's grip loosening around him. "Jun.." The voice suddenly turned playful, "wake up my little Kami." Jun opened his eyes realizing who was speaking, faint light of a lamp temporarily blinding him. After a few blinks he immediately realized he was laying down, and more importantly his head was in Hawks's lap. He quickly went to move but Hawks held him down, his arm overtop Jun's chest. Snickering beside them was an exhausting looking Aoi.
She smiled at Hawks while she spoke, an action Jun had never expected. "I can't believe he woke up when you called him that!" She patted Jun's shoulder. "Just enjoy being in that seat.."
Jun pried himself away from Hawks and stood up. Taking note that he was some how back in his bedroom, his busted door leaned against its frame. "What the hell is going on.." He dug in his pocket for a hair tie. "I need a minute alright?" He had felt his groin growing excited from being on Hawks like that and it was not a good sign. He had been with a couple guys but none had done more than momentarily satisfied his boredom. However with Hawks it was different. Just the thought of him made his cheeks grow warm, blushing was an unknown villain for Jun. He swung the door open an walked quietly down the stairs leaving them behind. The house was dark with the only sounds being the gentle breathing coming from other rooms. Once outside Jun took a seat on one of the front steps and sighed to himself.
"Jun?" A soft knock on the wall behind him pulled his attention to the attractive man coming out to join him. "I worked out a deal with Yakahama, her Yakuza connections will definitely come in handy, and you..." Hawks sat on the step beside him, leaving mere inches between them. "You are not a bad kid Jun. I will let you escape this one time only. Screw up again and it's jail time for you." Hawks pulled off the glove and pressed his hand to Jun's warm cheek and smiled before standing up.
"Hawks wait!" Jun stood up, his hand grabbing the blonde's jacket. "How did I get back here? What about that other hero?"
"I snuck ya out Kami.." He smiled, brushing a strand of hair out of Jun's face, "Don't look at me like that, I told you that you are that you aren't inherently a bad person." Jun stared to him, slightly shocked. "Lay low for a bit and at least try to stay out of trouble." He gently smacked Jun's cheek with his bare hand just as his large wings flew open behind him, lifting Hawks into the air. Jun stood outside watching him vanish into the night sky, blushing even brighter.
"He is sooooo cute Juni!" Aoi wrapped her arms around Jun's waist in a tight embrace from behind. "You should totes date him."
Jun was extremely happy it was dark enough to hide his blushing cheeks, he could feel how warm his face had grown. Something that should have gave off a strong warning towards trouble. "Get off of me you idiot.."
