Felicity Merryman: Ben comes back
"Felicity!" mother called. "I need you to come downstairs for moment."
"Ok, I will be right down." I said. "Yes mother?"
"You have a letter." Her mother handed her the letter.
"It's from Ben!" Felicity said excitedly.
It Reads:
"Dearest Miss Felicity,"
"I am writing to tell you I will no longer be fighting in the war. I will be home on Wednesday next. Oh Miss Felicity, I can not wait to see you, it has been a long time since I last saw you. When I get back, I am going to ask your father if I can take you to dinner. I as know that the Thursday after my return, is your 16th birthday, and dinner will be my treat. I cannot wait to see you"
"Yours Truthfully,
Ben"
"Felicity, it sounds to me the Ben likes you." said Mother.
"Oh mother stop, he just wants to take me to dinner." Felicity blushed. "Oh I can't wait until
Ben gets back."
"It's only 3 days Felicity dear." Her mother said.
3 Days Later...
"Mother, Ben gets back in a few hours!" Said Felicity
"Indeed he does." Mother Said.
"Mother, what shall I wear, to dinner tomorrow with Ben?"
"I would wear the dress Elizabeth and her mother made for you, that you wore to the Christmas Eve Ball."
"Hmm, I suppose that would work. I'll wear it." Said Felicty
All of a sudden there was a knock at the door.
"It can't be Ben because he's not due back for a few hours!" Said Felicity.
"Why don't you answer the door and find out."
"Ben it is you!" Felicity shouted.
