FASH: This is a new project I'm setting up for myself because one-shots help me concentrate and distract me, in a good way. The words were randomly chosen as I flipped through my dictionary, so I'm just working with what I've got, which makes it a little more fun. :)
Disclaimer: I'm just a fan(girl).

Wakana was one of the few females Takami had ever paid a substantial amount of attention to, and not just because she was the team's manager. It was a little embarrassing at times, when he caught himself looking at her without really noticing beforehand, but at the moment it brought on more concern than any of his usual, more awkward feelings.
Wakana had been rubbing at her throat a lot, her eyebrows furrowing together in discomfort whenever she so much as took a sip from her water bottle.
Their manager wasn't the type to complain about anything 'unnecessary' though, so it really wasn't all too surprising when she worked just as hard as usual all throughout practice, although it was a bit troubling. She should know better than to push herself if she were feeling under the weather.
Which is exactly why after practice Takami had decided to confront her about the lack of concern she had for her health.
"I'm fine." She had said in response to his questioning as she began putting away the pylons that she'd set up for practice, Takami anxiously helping out.
"Are you sure you're fine?"
"Well, it hurts a little..." She admitted as she made her way to the club room, leafing through several pieces of paper absentmindedly. "Even when I'm just drinking water, but I'll be okay." She assured him before making her way inside the room and setting her papers down.
"Wakana, are you sure you don't have strep throat?" Takami asked, worriedly turning her around and pressing the back of his hand against her forehead to see if she had a fever.
"Takami-san, I'm sure I'm alright." She protested, half-heartedly trying to move his hand away without luck.
"You don't have a fever, but you said your throat was hurting even when you were swallowing liquids, right? That's a symptom of strep throat, we should take you to a walk in clinic to get you some antibiotics." Takami let his hand drop away and reach for Wakana's, intent on escorting her.
Wakana stepped away, turning back towards her papers. "It's just a sore throat, I'll have my mom make me some tea with honey tonight and tomorrow I'll be right as rain."
"Wakana, you need to take better care of yourself."
"It'll pass, I don't need-"
"Wakana."
"Fine, I'll go to a clinic once I finish everything up here." She relented with a sigh, organizing her papers before filing them away into a binder containing Oujou's most recent information.
Takami crossed his arms and leaned next to the door, watching the stubborn girl with a slight smile.
"You don't have to wait around for me." Wakana told him without turning to look at him, but from where he was standing Takami could see the tips of her ears taking on a pink tinge and he knew without having to see that her cheeks had become an equally bashful colour.
"But I want to wait around for you."
The pink went several shades darker.
"Fine, it's your time, do what you want."
Takami's smile widened. "Gladly."
