It was a gorgeous summer night at the burrow. Harry and Ginny after putting their children to bed, had gone on a moonlit stroll. They were on their way back to the house when Ginny heard a rustling in the bushes along with the sound of a little girl crying. She stopped. She knew those tears. They were the tears of a heartbreak. Ginny sent Harry on into the house and approached the bush. There she saw eight year old Victoire with tears running down her face.

"Vic, what's wrong?" Ginny asked.

The little girl looked up with red eyes and replied

"It's Teddy. He doesn't like me!" Victoire let out a sob.

Ginny reached down and wiped a tear from Vic's face. Then said

"Victoire, of course he like you! He the whole way over here you were all he talked about!"

"But Aunt Ginny, you don't understand! He doesn't LIKE me, like me!"

Ginny took a deep breath. She never in her life thought she would have to deal with this so young.

"Vic, don't worry! You are so young! You still have many chances!" said Ginny.

"Aunt Gin, I love him so much! I even wish him goodnight on the first star I see!" replied the little girl. "I say, Goodnight my Teddy! Sweet dreams! I love you!"

Ginny thought back to when she was Victoire's age. She remembered telling Harry goodnight every night on a star. Ginny remembered the hope she had that one day the boy who lived would one day fall for her.

"Vic, I'm going to teach you something I learned."

The little girl looked eager.

"When you wish the one you love goodnight, just say Goodnight my someone. Then when you figure out who your someone is, fill in the name."

Goodnight, my someone,
Goodnight, my love,
Sleep tight, my someone,
Sleep tight, my love,
Our star is shining it's brightest light
For goodnight, my love, for goodnight.
Sweet dreams be yours, dear,
If dreams there be
Sweet dreams to carry you close to me.
I wish they may and I wish they might
Now goodnight, my someone, goodnight
True love can be whispered from heart to heart
When lovers are parted they say
But I must depend on a wish and a star
As long as my heart doesn't know who you are.
Sweet dreams be yours dear,
If dreams there be
Sweet dreams to carry you close to me.
I wish they may and I wish they might
Now goodnight, my someone, goodnight.
Goodnight,
Goodnight.

"Got it Aunt Gin! So did you wish Uncle Harry goodnight on a star?"

"Yes Vic, I did."

With that the two went in and Victoire headed straight up to her room and said

Goodnight, my someone,
Goodnight, my love,
Sleep tight, my someone,
Sleep tight, my love,
Our star is shining it's brightest light
For goodnight, my love, for goodnight.
