Brazil was staring at the sky, with a happy smile on her face. Porty would be back from Europe the next day, and they would be able to play together for again after what seemed ages.

The little girl liked her brother very, very much. He was kind to her, and would buy her pretty things, just like the dress she was wearing. Angola-nee-chan always told her not to get her dress dirty, because Porty would get angry, but she couldn't avoid it; she really liked to watch the clouds.

A few minutes earlier, when she had just gotten at that nice spot, her pets seemed a little different. They didn't want her to sit in that spot, like it was dangerous or something. She told them not to worry, because there wasn't any danger there; the guy with yellow hair and a scarf wasn't there anymore. But still, her pets kept telling her to go to a safer place, and since she kept denying, they left her alone.

At first, Brazil wasn't worried; they would probably be back soon. But now, she was starting to feel lonely, and she really hated to be lonely. She wanted someone to play with her.

Suddenly, she heard a noise come from a bush nearby. She got up, curious, and went to check if her pets were back to play with her. When she got near it, the bush made a noise again, and she was sure she'd seen something move. Then, that something fell from the bush.

It was small; she could easily carry it around. It was a cub of some kind, judging for the little face and tiny paws. The little brown eyes stared cautiously at her. The fur was very soft, dark yellow with black and brown spots. The long tail fell, clumsily, behind it. It looked like…

"… Kitty?"

oOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOo

Angola was surprised to see Brazil get home early that day. She was fairly surprised when she noticed the dirty dress and the little cub in the girl's arms. She was surprised beyond words when she saw WHAT the cub was.

"B-Brazil-chan!" she said. "Why are you carrying such a dangerous animal?"

"…Dangerous?" the little girl was confused. "Why is it dangerous, nee-chan? It's just a kitty! It was all by itself when I found it! It's mom was being dragged by some very mean guys in the forest." She paused, and then whispered; "I don't think she was alive anymore…"

"…"

"So, I've decided to keep it! Isn't she cute? I think I'll call her Iara!~"

And, as the little girl walked to fetch the 'kitty' something to eat, Angola felt a sudden urge to laugh.

"Master Portugal will never let Brazil-chan to keep a leopard cub. I wonder what this will lead to…

oOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOo

When Portugal got home the next day and found his precious little girl playing with a leopard cub (wearing a bowl), he started to worry a bit more about his sister's safety.

"Uh… Brazil-chan…"

"Yes, Porty?"

"Why is there a leopard cub in our house?"

"Oh, I've found her in the woods yesterday and Angola-nee-chan let me keep her. Her name is Iara-chan. Isn't she cute?~"

Oh, Angola was SO paying him for this…

And wait until he sees what Iara did to his curtains!

Hello there!

This is my first fanfic in English, so please forgive me for those little mistakes I'm sure I made!
