Hey guys… I'm starting right where Valiant ends… seems like there are others who love Holly Black's books…Go Tithe, Spiderwick Chronicles and Valiant! Yay… according to the official SC website, a movie's coming out. MUST WATCH…

'Gone in one faerie sigh,' she quoted.

Leather-clad fingers brushed over her short hair, rested on her cheek. 'I can hold my breath.'

Val smiled, the twinkle that would always appear in her eyes whenever Ravus was around back again. 'Well, now that everything's all ok, do you think…'? 'Do I think what?' Ravus asked, pulling her close to him. Val felt a little shy. She hated that after all that had happened, she was still nervous whenever he touched her… even a light pat on the arm caused her to tense up, and the pain of her heart hitting against her ribs reminded her of her huge crush on him- a troll. Kind of impossible, a human and a troll. But Val didn't care. If she could stay forever wrapped up in his green-skinned arms, that would be much better than embracing a human boyfriend. 'Do you think… maybe we can hang out like normal couples?' Ravus laughed, as his fingers brushed against her cheeks. ' If normal couples hang out at abandoned cemeteries, then yeah, I should suppose so. Unless you mean going to the cinema… I can use glamour, but remember I told you there's always a clue that gives it away?' Val sighed. Tough. That was what this relationship was going to be. But she didn't mind; not at all. He kissed her lightly and she returned the favor. Ow… she still wasn't used to the stinging sensation whenever his sharp teeth met her soft lips. 'It hurts,' she whispered softly to him. 'It does? Then maybe I should- we should-' he paused, knowing that if she didn't return his feelings for her, then, well… 'No, no, Ravus…' Val was grinning with glee like a two- year-old, 'I like you a lot and it totally doesn't matter because I am a complete sucker for pain. Trust me, I have handled needles far sharper than YOUR teeth. I just wanted you to know that maybe a little more practice would make me get used to it,' she told him in a playful, teasing voice. Ravus put on his 'Scary Troll' face that never failed to strike fear in Val's heart, and for a moment, she was terrified of having said it out so openly. Maybe she should have phrased it differently? But as his lips touched hers forcefully and a familiar sting could be felt, she knew he had responded silently. Great.
