authors note:Pleas read!okay people. I just finished maximum ride like last night and it was like the most awsomest book I have ever read! it was even better then james patterson's the lake house and when the wind blows! so I was all depressed that it was over, and I was left hanging cuz of the preveiw of MR2 in the back of the book! So ofcourse I had to to write my own sequel to the book unless I wanted to bathe in my own pity every time I see the cover of the book on my table screaming "readmy sequel! readmy sequel!" which I can not afford because I have no freaking money. Typical Hailey behavior. o well. This is gonna be fun, especially because I am a teen, just like max... umm, except the mutant stuff, and the wacky new style...ya know what, nevermind.lol! I hope you enjoy!

The characters and some of the plot in this story are James Patterson's.

MAXIMUM RIDE 2

Have you ever been scared? I mean, really, truly scared. So scared that you couldn't move or think or even breathe? No? Didn't think so. But I have. I was scared when they took my little girl, Angel, away from me, and when I had to actually interact with a real live family because of an injury. I was scared when I found out I might have a tracing chip implanted in my arm, and when I killed what may have been my own brother.

Scary?

You betcha.

I mean, If you looked Scared up in the dictionary you would find a picture of me, Maximum Ride, knees rattling togethor in fear.

Okay, maybe not, butn I should be.

But I have never been as scared as I am right now as Fang, Iggy, Nudge, Gazzy, Angel and I stand at the front door of what may be the house of the man whocan tell me who my parents are, while thunder rolls in the distance, promising a downpour. And us without a house.

You see, I had gotten a letter from someone with the initials M.H..

Yeah, I know what your thinking. How could little bird girl who has no home, no known parents, and no address, get a letter. Well sorry if this answer is disapointing.

Beats me. I siriously have no clue how this person found me, or even knew I was in Washington. You see, we bird kids try to make our presence in a place as least noticable as possible.

Um, yeah. Doesn't always work.

Anyway this is what the letter said;

Dear Max,I cannot say to much in this letter incase it comes into the wrong hands, but please trust me. I have some valuable information about your parents that you probably would like to see. Come to the old blue house in the woods outside of washington at dusk tonight. Please come Max, I wish you no harm, I just want to help you. M.H.

So here we are, working up the nerve to ring the doorbell. Fang put his arm around me in a friendly gesture.

"It will be all right Max," he whispered reasuringly to me. I draw in a shaky breath trying to steady myself as I reach out to ring the doorbell. Yankee Doodle is heard playing through the whole house. The kids laugh.

"What kind of person has yankee doodle for a doorbell chime!" Gazzy giggles. Angel looks up at me with a smile on her sweet face. I smile back at her, forgetting my anxiety. It's funny how she gets to me like that.

But as soon as it's gone, it's back again, bringing fear and anger with it. Because the thing that opens the door to the quaint home, is none other than the #1 most hated man on Max's most hated man list.
