The Ellimist frowned.He looked into a few strands of space time to see what he had missed.

We're driving along towards the airport in total silence.I can't believe he isn't drunk.He screeched the car to a hault.I was about to get out when his cell phone rang.He whipped it out of his ratty old jacket and barked out,"What?"
Sudenly he went from just mean and grumpy to totally outraged."WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU DONT WANT HIM??!DO YOU THINK I WANT HIM?!"I sighed.He was talking about me.It wasn't like I was all weepy eyed.He didn't care about me,and I didn't care about him.The feeling was mutual.
He hung up and looked disgustingly at me."You're staying with me,"HE barely choked out those words.He threw the cell phone at my temple like it was all my fault.I let out a little cry of pain.He let out a string of words I won't repeat.
We got back to his beat up house and he dragged me inside and locked me in my room.I sighed.I'd be in here for a while.Since I didn't have a mirror,I went to my window and looked at my already bruising temple.I hope no one would see it.It wouldn't be so easy hiding it as it was with all the bruises on my back,arms,and legs.I layed down on my bed and cried.I hated this life.I would never find any love in this world.So I cried.Cried for what might have been.

As I walked away from the boy I had ran into I looked back and saw I had seen him from school.He missed a lot of days.I did a take back when I saw the cuts and bruises on his left arm.He didn't notice me staring.I think he was in three of my classes.I could not believe what his uncle did to him.How did I know it was his uncle?Well before they got in the car,he kicked him into his seat.Hard.I really had to get going but I wasn't done dealing with this kid.So even as I was walking away from him I had a plan forming in my head.

The next day I put on my cleanest shirt,wich wasnt very clean and went to school.Since my uncle didn't drive me I had to walk,becuase I didn't want to be hassled by all those creeps on the bus.I went into homeroom,and then my first period,wich happened to be gym.My worst subject.I changed into my baggy gym clothes and shyly went into the gym.I saw a blondde girl named RAchel smiling and talking with her friends.I envied her.She didn't have any problems.
I guess I must of been staring cuase the next thing I knew she was walking towards me.Oh man,I thought."hey,"she said casually."I'm Rachel,..you are?" "Oh I know who you are."Oh man that must of sounded really lame."I'm...Tobias,"I said with my head down."Hey rachel look you really shouldn't hang out with me,I'm not exactly Mr' Popular."
"OH puh-leaze"she said with a wave of her hand"Who cares?"For the first time in a while I smiled.

I was gonna find someway to help him.He was really shy but he looked like he could use a friend."Well Tobias It was nice meeting you.Maybe we can hang out later?"I waved and walked back over to my friends.
I was determined.I would help him.Nothing could stop me.Nothing.
