Morning had arrived, and slivers of golden sunshine made their way into castle tower. The rays of sunlight roused the enchanting princess from her sleep.
"Oh what a promising day" exclaimed the maiden as she twirled out of bed and began singing a little tune. Feeling truly hopeful that today she would meet her one and only prince charming she began getting ready for her day with a new found excitement.
Copper-Headed Tempress was her name, and for good reason. With looks so astounding that flowers bloomed at her gaze and a voice so beautiful even sirens would weep with envy, The Temptress was by was by far the most sought after lady in the land. But alas, every suitor to come her way would be lacking a certain quality that even the lady herself could not explain. After many years she was beginning to lose hope of true love.
Today was another day however, and she was determined to find her other half. He was out there and they would be united today! Beginning the day with a walk around the forest sounded like a splendid way to begin her journey to eternal love.
As she walked along the path she came to the bridge crossing the deep ravine that occupied her land. Never have fearing heights before, she confidently began to cross. Almost half way she began to hear a terrible lurching noise. She yelped and the plank beneath her feat snapped and found herself dangling on the edge of life and death.
"Oh me oh my what ever should I do" Temptress questioned. But her inquiry was short lived because while being the fairest maiden of the land certainly comes with some requirements, upper body strength is not one of them. And so she slipped. While falling to her certain fate the temptress felt a shadow upon her. Her fall was suddenly stopped short as strong talons gripped the maiden and snatched her out of the air. She suddenly found herself flying through the afternoon sky and her emotion was elevated from fear to awe.
Not being able to see who her savior was Copper-Headed Temptress shouted, "Set me down so I may give you you're reward kind soul!" and so began their descent.
The next thing she knew, she was being released onto the soft grass beneath her. A plethora of feathers surrounded her as she was expelled onto the ground. And at that moment she turned to assess her savior….
