Leon's POV

Life. It's funny what it can throw at you. Sometimes you know what's going to happen and you sometimes just don't see everything coming or something you though couldn't happen, happens and leads you somewhere unexpected take me for example…. Who am I? Oh yeah that's right I haven't introduced myself, my name is Leon. Leon Fuyu. I am what is known as a wizard. Pretty cool right? Well it would be if 20% of the human population weren't also wizards/magic users but that's as I explained already life. Anyway you're probably wondering what's my story or deal well… I'm not 100% sure how to go about talking about it never have been but I suppose we can start with where I am now and that is… a therapist and before you ask NO I AM NOT CRAZY! Despite what my friends say.

Anyhow I'm here because well I have depression. I don't really want to tell you the reason (mainly because I didn't realise I was depressed until about half a year ago) and I certainly don't want to tell this bitch… okay but maybe I'm being mean but I'm just not comfortable talking about. And to be fair she's been avoiding certain subject in order to avoid and I quote "high stress levels" but today I when I woke up I had one of those feelings that you it was gonna be one of those day where as they say shit hits the fan

"Leon" I perked up at the therapist calling my name giving her my attention

"Sorry I was in deep thought" I claimed

"What about may I ask?" she inquired

"just the usual stuff" I answered with a forced smile

"Ahh the life thing again, you think about that quite a lot when you're here but I believe we rounded that down to a way of giving yourself reason for being here and I'd recommend you keeping doing it as it was our first major break though" she explained because when I first started coming here I didn't really say anything main just nodded and shook my head to questions she asked

"yeah, yeah it was and we've had many more since" I said while avoiding eye contact. I don't know why but I had bad feeling about where this is going

"so considering our progress I believe its we address the incident that your guild master told me about that happened a year ago" my body froze up when she said this and my breathing stared to get a little heavier

"I… I-I I'd rather not" I said shakily

"look I get that but you need to understand that it wasn't you're fault"

"I don't want to talk about this"

"you did everything you could to save her and as for what you did it's a perfect reasonable reaction"

At this point I couldn't stop myself hyperventilating and everything I could see was coloured red that was in-between the flashbacks of "that" moment. A battle rages. I'm fighting by myself as far as I know against huge odds. surprisingly I'm holding my own for the moment. Then I hear a scream. I turn to where I came from from and see I'm not fighting by myself. I see a woman. I know her I have for my whole life. It's my sister. She's hurt. I try to rush to her aid but there's to many enemies in my way. She tries to fight of her attackers but she gets overwhelmed. I keep trying to get to her I HAVE TO HELP HER!… she's dead… I scream. There's huge white flash. I see a single gray wing. After the white flash ends everyone there but me is dead. I'm holding my sister in my arms crying. Everything turns to black as it finally ends.

The next thing I know I open my eyes and I'm looking up at what is most likely the ceiling of the therapy office. Guess I must have passed out. The therapist then helped me to back up on to my seat and then proceeded to explain that I didn't just have depression. I apparently had something called post traumatic stress disorder or PTSD for short. Luckily she didn't prescribe me any medication as she believed it would do me more bad than good and then our session was up and she would send me a message soon to arrange our next session.

As i left my therapists, I opened up the old wooden door as it creaked open and light spilled in blinding my slightly as I let my eyes adjust to the place I know as my home Feather Fall Town. It was a quite little town east Fiore not to far from Mt Hakobe. not much really happened except the feather fall festival that happened here every year. From which the town got it's name. You see the town was located the nesting ground of a very rare bird and when the young leave the nest they moulted their feathers over the town and they glistened in the sunlight as they fell.

With not much else to do today I decided to make my way to my guild hall of my guild, Rising Phoenix. The guild was founded about 70 odd years ago by wizards who had moved into the town. Apparently they had tried and failed at a whole bunch of other guilds so they decried to make there own. They gave it the name Rising Phoenix on they legend that "no matter how many times a Phoenix falls it will rise from the ashes again" it was apparently how they saw themselves as phoenixes that had fall rose multiple times

As I made my way to the guild hall looked down the cobblestone street old brick houses lined the streets as the usual rabble of children elderly ran about care free and I couldn't help but wish to be like that again. As I was walking I noticed I was getting a few stares and if I had to hazard guess why it might be down to my appearance. Body wise I was quite normal. I was average height, I had dark blond hair and brown eyes and I was fair skinned. The part of my appearance that is most be drawing their attention is my attire. The parts that I knew weren't drawing attention would be my white muscle shirt black trousers and boots and also my fingerless gloves. The parts that were would be my knee Length black trench coat that had armour plating on the shoulders, elbows and the top of the forearms all of which had little dents and scratches on them. The other part would have been my chest plate that was glinting in the sun a little I had on over my shirt but under my coat. I leave the coat open so I don't roast.

These two parts of my outfit made me look like I was gonna start some trouble to people who didn't know who I was. Now you'd think that in a small town people might know who I am given how I've lived here for the past 5 years right? Well I tend to keep to myself, the guild and a shop where I buy supplies and food so that's why people don't know me and I'm getting a few stares right now but didn't let it bother me I just carried on my to the guild hall until I finally arrived outside it.

The Guild hall itself was one of the best building in the town looking like a cross between a small keep and a manor house, on the front just above the doors was the guild name and above that the guild logo, it was of a phoenix flying out of some flames kind of like the name would suggest.

I was about to enter when all of a sudden someone landed on my shoulders covering my eyes and said "Guess who?".

"Katrina" I replied while grabbing her ankles and throwing her off of me.

"Hey that wasn't very nice" she complained but I knew it was okay. Katrina Shiranui my one of best friend and all, she hand long blood red hair, eyes green as emeralds, but what stood out the most about her was the way she dressed, she dressed like a ninja (A/N: like Ryu Hayabusa from ninja giden without his head piece and mask) with a long red scarf, why did she dress like a ninja? Because she is one, fully trained and everything she doesn't talk much abut her training though probably because it's all wrapped in secrecy.

"Nice to see you too." said pulling a small smile. Her antics would always brighten my day a little bit especially after what happened earlier

"How was your trip to the crazy doctor?" she ask sarcastically. god damn it she knows how much that winds me up luckily I had a comeback up my sleeve.

"Bad news I'm afraid Kat the doc said there's nothing we can do for your condition we're gonna have to put you down" I replied to her making us both chuckle as we walked through the guilds doors to the usual setting of a guild hall lots of tables with people sitting at them talking drinking and laughing, a bar that served drinks and food, request board, and an upstairs bit with a bit of a games area where perhaps the most noise was coming from, it was pretty typical for a guild hall, we were about to go take some seats but kind of stopped when our master walked up to us.

He was 6ft 4in and had muscles that were absolutely huge, he had dark brown hair, blue eyes and a beard that made him look very tough (A/N: like Chuck Norris's beard), he was dressed in cowboy attire and his name was Master Kouga, there was a lot of rumours and myths about him one of them being that he was once bitten by the most poisonous snake in Fiore and after 5 days of agonising pain… the snake died.

"Well well well I figured you two would be here soon" he said in a big gruff voice that was happy and inviting. "Katrina is usually waiting outside for you whenever you go to your therapist and refuses to come in until you arrive, Leon. Speaking of which how did that go today?" he asking. I sighed at this because I really didn't want to tell him but I knew I had to the golden rule here was always be honest with the master and it's not like I couldn't tell him about it he's one of the few people who actually know what happened on that day not even my friends know what happened.

"I… had a panic attack when she tried to get me to talk about what happened... which cased me to have a flashback to that moment and a some point during that I passed out... When I woke up she told me what happened and said I have PTSD" I answered feeling ashamed I couldn't even look the master I the eye as I told him but then I felt hi big hand on my shoulder.

"all that is important is that you trying". He said with a smile "and remember you're not alone you have everybody here at the guild to support you isn't that right Katrina?… Katrina?" we both looked next me where she should have been but only saw the dotted outline of where she was. I knew exactly where she had gone and what she was doing.

I looked towards and bar and my suspicions were confirmed immediately. She was at the bar drinking saké and flirting with some of the other male members of the guild, AGAIN! She did this all the time I swear that woman has no respect for herself sometimes and aren't ninjas like suppose be about self respect and discipline or that other philosophical shit like that.

Instead of getting caught up in her antics or some sort of strange conversation with the master about how be blew something up or his other weird rumours, I decided to go sit down at one of the many tables in the guild and think about nothing in particular, I did this for about 5-10 minutes until a familiar Girl sat down in front of me.

"Hiya Leon" the girl said.

"Hey Alice" I replied in turn, Alice was one of my other best friends here at the guild, she was a bit smaller than me, she had hair white as snow, and beautiful silver coloured eyes, she wore a cyan blue leather jacket with a with a white vest top underneath, light pink fingerless gloves, jeans and high heeled boots, and lastly a necklace with a snowflake charm on it. Alice was known as the nicest girl in the guild here smile could make anyone feel warm on the inside and she always knew what to say to make you feel better. She was quite attached to me as I was her first friend in the guild and because of that I wouldn't let anyone badmouth her or do anything wrong to her. To be fair i'd do the same for all my friends.

"I was hoping you would come in today I wanted to go on a job with you" she said with her usual bubbly smile on her face that I never get tired of seeing "I thought it might be a good pick me up considering how your therapy sessions go sometimes".

"I was surprised you didn't come and talk to me sooner" I replied.

"Yeah I didn't see you come in, I was looking really hard for good job that you would like" she said while still smiling, I swear she does not stop smiling but I guess someone has to smile for everyone.

"So what's the job?" I asked quite curious because if I'm honest she'd taken the time out of he day just to find a job for me and it would be rude to decline her and I would rather like the pick me up.

"Well apparently a group of bandits have been attacking trade carts that are vital to a town's economy but witnesses claim they haven't seen a thing, one second the stuff is there the next it's not" she explained.

"Hmm sounds like fun I'm in" I said while cracking my knuckles and pulling a confident smile.

"Is there room for a 'hic' third?" Katrina asked while trying to maintain her balance she had obviously had quite a bit to drink although to be honest that was probably an understatement.

"Of course Katrina the more the merrier" Alice answered.

"Just try and sober up on the way there" I added while getting up to leave.

"Aye... Aye... Captain" Katrina said saluting while she and Alice followed me out of the guild to go on our job, I just hope I will get some challenge out of this.
