This is my first story and I now it's not that good but it just came to me one night and I wrote it down at about 3:00 A.M. so enjoy. Oh and I own nothing!
As she awoke she noticed something warm and fluffy on her chest. With a closer look she saw it was just shippo the young demon fox that traveled with her and three others. Their goal is to collect all the sacred jewel shards and defeat the half demon Naraku. As she gets up she makes sure not disturb the kitsune's (know I spelt that wrong sorry!) sleep. As she looks around the room she sees Sango and Miroku sleeping soundly, and she felt a dull ache in her back probable from the sleeping bag that she now inhabited. Memories of hot baths and a soft bed played in her mind and she almost didn't notice that InuYasha wasn't inside the hut ALMOST. She was pulled from her dream by the dull ache of her back and she then proceeded to walk outside to look for him. As she looked around she saw the millions of stars looking down on her and she forgot about her search and got lost in the beauty of the stars.
He looked down from the top of a tall tree watching Kagome watch the stars. Her brilliant brown eyes were even brighter with the light from the stars reflecting off of them. The light made her eyes look bigger then usually. He often looks at her when she was too busy to notice and he would just admire the few. He was glad that Kagome was traveling with him and he was glad that they were all with him but he would never admit that to them. They were the only ones that accepted him not even his own brother accepts him. He was a half demon after all. He knew that he was in love, but he didn't know how to tell her and how she would react. Whenever they were alone he would flinch at the un-easy silence and then would say something dumb that would probably get him SAT. Many times he had tried to tell her but to tell you the truth Kagome scared him more than Naraku. He had only opened up to one person and that person had died. He was nerves and he knew why. Now was the time to tell Kagome and so he jumped from the tree landing ten feet from her. She jumped and let out a startled shriek but not to where it would wake the others.
He grabbed her hand and started to pull her to the edge of the clearing and through the woods. When she asked where they were going he simply said "it's a surprise" and kept walking. He didn't know where he was going but he didn't care he was enjoying the feel of her hand in his and the look of her face a she furiously blushed at the contact of there hands. When they came to a small stream he stopped not letting her hand go and before she said anything he pulled her in for a long passionate kiss. When they pulled apart he said "Kagome I know I'm a pain some times and I can seem uncaring, but Kagome I love you and I promise to protect you with my life". As she stared at me I thought she would laugh and so I let go of her hand but she grabbed it and kissed me even deeper than before she reluctant pulled away and said "I love you more" and we kissed one more time and when we pulled apart we left are fingers in twined and slow made are way back silently enjoying each other's company. But before we returned all I said was "Not possible."
