A/N- I wrote this at the same time I wrote Lydecker's Chicken. But, I never posted it, don't ask me why. So here it is. Sorry, no Max or Logan- yet.

Normal, why did the chicken cross the road?

The chicken crossed the road because he was actually making a delivery, unlike the rest of you oafs. I will be happy to give that chicken his paycheck when the time comes. I don't pay you people to sit around on you asses all day. But that chicken wasn't just sitting around. I need more chickens around here.

Zack, why did the chicken cross the road?

The chicken crossed the road because she was smart enough to keep moving in enemy territory. She didn't let human emotions cloud her vision of the real world. She didn't let feelings let her forget that she's a soldier. And she didn't forget that there was a chicken catcher after her. The chicken that doesn't cross the road is going back to Manticore. And even when she does cross the road, she'll never be safe.

Walter, why did the chicken cross the road?

Good. The chicken only crossed the road because we were paid to look the other way.

Normal: Sketchy, where the fire-truck is Max?
Sketchy: Well, uh, you see, there was this.......... chicken out on the road this morning. And Max, being the nice person she is, swerved to miss it, and she crashed and................she's in the hospital.
Normal: Then why, may I ask, did the chicken cross the road?
Sketchy: Ummm, to get to the other side?
