A Book of Dragons =================
NOTE: Pray I be not mistaken for any errors regarding the species of Dragons. If so, I heartily apologize for any wrong facts.
Backgrounds ===========
At the beginning age, during the dawn of Time, it was supposed that the Gods of the Realm of Dragon Court created a unique species of half-sentient creatures. Dragons.
During the beginning, Dragons were a combined mix of chameleons and reptiles alike. The Gods, knowing that Evil would corrupt the hearts of Men, created the Dragon to be a large lizard which was assigned to protect ancient artifacts and historical emblems.
Although during the beginning ages, they were considered to be a form of tremendous (meaning TREMENDOUS) power and were often mocked as being the servants of Evil. Dragons, noble and powerful to the core, often were merely judged by their appearance and structure.
However, this is not the case for many Dragons existing in Dragon Court.
The Gods knew that as they created the Life forms within the realm, there would be many who sought out to be as powerful as a God. (Perhaps the possible reason for the Dragon's structure and power)
Even as they tried to create the most noble guardians of the realm, they had accidentally created a flaw within their works.
They had given the Dragon the habit of thought thus this resulted in their distintive habit of being greedy for treasure and their almighty wrath.
Such flaws were also known to be part of the formula for creating Evil and Corruption within all creatures alike therefore there has been many cases in which there have been reports of Dragons bent on the path of Evil.
Dragons have unique talent apart from physical and magical strength such as the ability to read minds, sense Good and Evil, control the Mortal minds, a LARGE amount of historical knowledge and legends, the ability to control Elements such as Fire and Water (distinquished by their scale colors) and the ability of flight by using their wings (although some do not have such traits).
Further Evolution =================
Surprisingly, although different from Men and Elves, there has been many heroes gifted with the powerful Dragon's Blood which flows within their veins.
Some heroes (and villains) have so much Dragon's Blood within them that they even have slight Dragon features such as superb immunity to fire and cold, growing a tail on the rear end, great intellect and Dragon strength.
These unique combinations are unknown of how they ever got into the hero's body and one may even have a difficult time bearing the thought of a Human as a Dragon's mate! (Although there has been tales of such romances and affairs.)
Dragons have also distant cousins such as the Basilisk and the Wyvern species.
Dragon mixed folk have also developed notable habits such as the grand knowledge of Honor and Valor, a strong belief of Morale and have strong emotional strengths. Some are often quick to a challenge while others are known to be both silent and prefer non-violence.
Heroes with such traits have also a large array of Magick and Combat knowledge. I, myself, believe that they almost always have applied these skills in combat and peace.
For example, on one account I have seen a friend parry multiple attacks by using his tail while on the other hand created a barrier of Fire to wipe out his enemies.
Final Note ==========
As a final end to my long (LONG) essay regarding the existence and behavior of Dragons and alike, I once more apologize for any mistake made on such unique species. Feel free to add comments to any further pages.
