With a rustle of wind brought from the window the shiver of it woke the mistress of the house. Mrs. Aurally Parkinson woke to a baby crying, It was on her windowsill in a beautiful silver wood basket. An unearthly glow came from it, and wrapped in finest green wool was a child. A girl with hair that matched the night sky, The deepest of black that appeared almost blue in the haunting light. Her skin was pale and her cheeks were rosy her young lips were pouting and her arms were held up for a mother to hold.
