I decided to redo chapter 1 because it seemed a little boring but I doubt that this is any better.
The Mystery Chronicles
The man hurried across the busy street filled with cars traveling to their destinations and into the bar on the other side. As he sat down he wondered how he got into this mess, they killed his wife just the other day he knew that because he heard her yelling "Bloody Murder" over and over again at that time he thought she was just afraid of some thug but by the time he got home his wife was on the ground in a large puddle of blood that seem to get bigger by the second. Weeping with sorrow he searched the house for clues of who killed them but he could only find this note:
We told you to listen but you didn't and now we have gotten our revenge on YOU! If you want to your children to see sunlight again then meet us at the warehouse at the docks at eight o' clock sharp. Also if you dare try to call the authorities we will not hesitate to kill your children.

"A glass of milk please." He asked the barman. He was getting ready to make the journey to the docks but he was also worried if he would be late to the meeting and they would kill his children without mercy.
After he had finished his drink he set upon his long journey to the docks by Port Limning. By the time he got there darkness was settling upon the land behind him and he knew that there would be no escape tonight, tomorrow maybe but not tonight. As soon as he walked inside the Warehouse he stopped in his tracks, because hanging from a piece a stringy rope was one of his beloved children.
