Chandler sat by Monica's bed. Tears slid down his cheek as he grasped his wife's hand, begging her not to leave him. Monica had been in an accident, an accident so brutal it had put Monica in a state in which she wasn't recovering.

"Please Monica, please." Chandler was broken. The twins were staying with Phoebe and Mike and the dog Monica so adored was with Ross, Rachel and Emma.

Nurses floated in an out of the room, each ones face filled with gloom. Each friend had been in to say there goodbyes and each in turn had left filled with tears. Now it was Chandler's turn. He wiped his eyes with the one hand he had spare and began his farewell to his wife.

"Monica, I want you to know something, something I've never told you before. I've loved you since forever, each failed relationship I've had has been setting me up for this, us, our marriage. Remember when you spent and entire day trying to get me to cry? You talked about leaving a note in the bureau draw from the beyond. Well, I'm crying now Monica.2 He took a deep breath and kissed his wife's hand. "I can't believe you're leaving me, not now, not like this. We were going to grow old together. The twins need you, I need you and you need us, I know you do. Please Monica, please wake up." She didn't stir.

"Mr Bing?" An unfamiliar voice came from the room door. It was Dr. Rogers.

"Yes?" Chandler turned to face the doctor, his hand still grasping that of his wife's.

"It's time Mr Bing, I'm so sorry but your wife can't stay on the life support forever. I'll give you a few more minutes." The doctor's voice was cold and harsh. How could someone rush a man saying his final farewell to his wife?

"I have to go Monica, they want to turn you of. Shame we couldn't turn you off when you were alive, you used to talk for hours, one of the things I loved about you. I promise the twins will know about you, every single detail. Goodbye, I love you so much I don't know how I'm going to go on without you." He kissed his wife's forehead and let go of her hand. He slowly backed out of the door and burst into tears. His world was about to be switched off.

Chandler arrived home at 3am. He went straight to the study Monica had filled with cookery books and photos and stared aimlessly into space. He searched for a pen in the hope to write down as many memories as he could about Monica. Being the tidy person she was, no pens were found scattered on the desk tabletop so Chandler had to search within the drawers. He came across a note, neatly folded and smelling of perfume. Chandler UN folded the note and read it:

Dear Chandler

I will always love you

Monica
