Lily's POV because I like having her be friends with the Marauders. Especially when she inevitably marries James :D
"I am the master of stealth. I am Sirius 'Stealth' Black. I am a ninja. No one can know where I am. Because I am Sirius 'Stealth' Black, the ninja master of stealth."
James, Remus and I looked at him incredulously. We had been doing the obvious, avoiding getting caught. Now, Sirius was always psychotic. THAT was also obvious. He was just so… SIRIUS. And it's a bit ironic, his name sounds like "serious" but he's never serious.
Back to why Sirius is being odd. They had just played a prank – that I had tagged along for, MAYBE helping with, and we needed to get out of there. But, we had seen Filch and now we were avoiding capture.
"I am like James Bond. 'My name is Black. Sirius Black.' Yes. And I am stealthy. I will never get caught. And for the record, I am the sexiest man alive. I am a sex god. No girl can escape my sexiness. Heck, some guys can't escape my sexiness. I am agent 007, nicknamed the sexy stealth ninja. Oh yes. Stealthy…"
James shook his head at his long-gone friend. He took out his invisibility cloak and threw it over him, Remus and I. We stood there, pressed up against the wall, looking at Sirius amusedly.
Sirius, as he was saying all this, was rolling on the ground. Yes. Rolling. On the ground. He had his wand out. His little routine went a bit like this: roll, crouch, look both ways, lean against the wall, commence theme music, repeat.
He had begun the Batman theme song. Yes. You saw that right. Sirius Black was singing the Batman theme song.
James, ever such a Marauder, leaned down and whispered to him, "Why so serious?" (A/N: Sirius-serious? No? eh…)
I, being muggle-born, had to fight the laugh that was threatening to escape my lips. I clapped a hand over my mouth. I had to bite down on a finger or two after I heard and saw Sirius's reaction.
At first all he did was jump up. He didn't see anyone. He narrowed his eyes. "Who dareth speaketh to I! Sir Sirius Black!" He got no reply. He looked down the hall and saw a shadow vanish. "AHA! Come back you demon!"
He ran away from us after that. Yeah, it wasn't us at the end of the hall. We followed because, naturally, we were curious to see what was going to happen.
Sirius tore down the hall as fast as he could possibly roll. He gave up after a few feet and just sprinted the rest of the way. He ran right out into the open, then ran right back.
We stopped. We didn't know what he saw, but we soon found out. What we saw nearly had us rolling on the floor. With laughter, mind you.
Sirius, the "master of stealth", had been caught. Because he ran right out into the open.
Filch was standing there, and he looked livid. "Come. NOW." He then took Sirius by the ear and dragged him to the dungeon. Filch didn't see us, of course because we were under the invisibility cloak.
Oh, the "master of stealth" will never live this down. Of that much, I am sure.
