For Family

He had always heard that one would do anything for family. In some ways he found this to be true, because when it came to his mother he would do anything to keep her safe. He didn't realize how much the definition covered till he joined the BAU.

He sat staring at the case before him. The team had seen gruesome, disgusting, violent, and sickening, but these bodies… these bodies had his name carved in their stomachs. Not only that but theses bodies they were… they were placed only blocks from his apartment. On top of that the bodies they… they looked just like the TEAM. The team currently sat around him trying to make a profile. Did they not see. Did they not realize. This… This was a message… a message to him. It screamed at him, "We are going to take them. We are going to take YOUR FAMILY."

Suddenly he found it hard to breathe. The pictures began to morph into members of the team and than back to the random look-a-likes. Back and forth the pictures kept flashing in his mind; the room was getting smaller it was getting harder and harder to breathe. Why… why wasn't he getting any air into his lungs. A hand on his shoulder brought him out of the trance. He looked into the hard eyes of his unit chief. Agent Hotchner's eyes softened a bit, and he said in his calm voice, "Don't worry Reid, we'll get him. Let's just focus on the profile."

He looked around at his team members. They were giving him reassuring glances. That's right they'd make a profile. They'd catch this psycho. They'd do this together, because they were each others family and he'd do whatever it took to keep his family safe.
