Sometimes, Velma just feels comfortable around Roxie. She can throw her head back and cackle, while Velma wouldn't dare do that around anyone else.

She allows herself to slouch while around Roxie, but it doesn't last long, Roxie's always telling her she's going to end up with a humpback and swats her in the back of the head with a newspaper until she sits up straight.

I'm not a damn dog!

Roxie had chuckled, raising an eyebrow at her wife as the brunette still sat up.

Good girl.

Sometimes, she annoys Velma.

It's a comfortable annoying, and Velma's pretty sure that's not even possible.

She doesn't really care though, because if this is how it feels to be more in love with someone than you could ever imagine was possible, Velma's fine with it.

Sometimes, Velma doesn't really understand how Roxie makes her feel. There's times when she just wants to snap her neck, but it's the light in Roxie's eyes that stops her from doing just that.

Because when Roxie's annoying, it means she's either talking enthusiastically about something, or being an absolute whiny bitch.

Velma can call her that, she's the only one Roxie tolerates.

Because Roxie knows, that no matter how many times Velma tells her she should've been hanged, Roxie knows she doesn't really mean it.

Roxie knows where Velma will be at night, and that's enough proof that she doesn't.

Velma jokes that their bed is just comfortable, and she can't really sneak out to meet up with anyone without missing the mattress.

Roxie knows what's keeping her there.

And it isn't the goddamn mattress.

Wow, okay. We've kinda lost the point. Back to it.

Velma refuses to let herself cuddle with Cosmo whenever there's guests, but she does it around Roxie. She'll nuzzle up to his black fur, giving him kisses on his head while scratching his ears.

Velma doesn't think Roxie notices, but the blonde isn't that stupid.

She knows.

Roxie would never let Velma know that, because she's scared the brunette would stop.

And losing the sight of Velma sprawled out on the couch, the cat on her chest, while she reads a magazine isn't worth anything.

Roxie watches Velma, and no matter how many times Velma tells her the staring makes her uncomfortable, Roxie can't really stop.

But, truth be told, Velma doesn't mind being watched.

She always did appreciate an audience.

i lost the entire plot of this like halfway through, i was just having too much fun with the flexibility of the title.
