Mamoru smiled as he watched his daughter do her homework. He went into the chicken and prepared a snack for her while she finished up. He brought the snack to the living room and set it on the table, he took a seat on the couch and grabbed a book he was reading earlier.

"Papa?" he heard a little voice say.

He looked from his book to look at his daughter, "Yes?"

"Where is my Mama?" she asked with innocence staring at him with big eyes.

Mamoru stared at his daughter, he knew that the day would come when she would eventually question the where bouts of her mother. But how could he tell his daughter that her mother was no longer part of the living? He closed the book and placed it on the table,

"Come sit next to me Chibi-Usa."

Chibi-Usa walked around the table and came to sit next to Mamoru as she stared at him with her big blue eyes.

"Six years ago, I met a very silly girl. That girl was your mother." Mamoru said as he looked into the eyes of his daughter, "We went on dates had fun together and spended a lot of time with your aunts and uncles. Then one day I asked your mom a very important question, do you know what I asked her?"

"Mmm…if she wanted to be my mommy?" Chibi-Usa answered.

Mamoru smiled at her, "Right, I asked her if she wanted to marry me and do you know what she said?"

"Yes!" exclaimed Chibi-Usa.

"Yeah that's exactly what she said. She said yes, so we made the arrangements and got married. Then two years later we got the best surprise we could ever ask for. Do you know what it was?" Mamoru asked.

Chibi-Usa shook her head no and Mamoru smiled at her,

"Well, mommy was not feeling well for a few weeks so we went to the doctor and the doctor took tests to see what was wrong with mommy. We waited until the doctor came back and told us what was wrong with mommy. The doctor said that mommy was pregnant and that soon we will be having a little baby. Do you know who that baby is?"

"Umm…me?" Chibi-Usa asked.

"That's right it was you!" Mamoru said as he ticked Chibi-Usa.

Mamoru stopped tickling her and sat her on his lap,

"We were very happy but then some things started to go wrong as the date approached for you to be born. The doctors told mommy that her body was a bit weak and that she needed to take care of herself better. So we did, then the day came when you born. I was there with mommy while your aunts and uncles waited in the waiting room. But something went wrong, mommy was losing too much blood and her body could no longer take it. The doctor told mommy that she had to make a very important decision and mommy did. She gave birth to you and was able to hold you and kiss you and tell you that she loved you very much. After a while mommy closed her eyes and fell into a deep sleep."

"…my mommy is sleeping?" Chibi-Usa asked.

Mamoru swallowed the lump that was forming in his throat,

"Yes, mommy is in a deep sleep."

"Can we visit her?"

Mamoru smiled sadly at his daughter, and decided that in a few more years he would explain what kind of sleep she was in.

"Maybe another day ok."

Chibi-Usa looked at her father and nodded her head. She went to sit next to the table to eat her snack. Mamoru looked at her, and smiled sadly as a tear fell down.
