Hey guys I just decided to write this one day. Just to let you know, I have no idea exactly where Ringabel is. It's like the true ending, but he didn't go back to his world if it makes any sense? Also that weird paragraph at the end. Decided to add that cause why not? Anyway the story:
Ringabel liked to draw elaborate doodles of his companions. Mostly drawn when he was just bored. He drew them in his journal and would sometimes spend hours on a drawing. Some of his pictures Ringabel showed the others, but most he kept to himself, not letting anyone see. It was personal. It was private. But now they were all in separate parts of Luxendarc.
One night he flipped through the pages of his journal and smiled, remembering all the times they had had together.
Because the pictures, they were beautiful.
The ones of Agnés varied from detailed to quickly sketched. One was of Agnés at the Crystal, head bowed in prayer as the light engulfed it.
Another was of her and Tiz together, her armed with a staff and him with a sword. One of the most recent pictures and definitely Ringabel's favourite of Agnés's was a drawing of Agnés, raising her pendant aloft. A brilliant light shone from it as Agnés stared at it in wonder.
Ringabel flipped a page and pictures of Tiz appeared.
There was one of Tiz sleeping, his hair tousled and messy.
Another one of Tiz, stretching and yawning.
Although Ringabel hadn't been there when Tiz's village collapsed he had seen the destruction. And it was a story Tiz had told him after waking from a nightmare.
So one of the last photos was of Tiz, grabbing onto Til, who looked suspiciously like Egil. Underneath them was the giant hole of the chasm.
Tiz had a look of pain and sadness on his face, because it was clear even in the picture that he wouldn't be able to hold on.
Ringabel turned over the page and felt a pang. The next picture was of Edea, and so was the next one and the next one. Over half of the pictures in Ringabel's journal were of Edea.
Edea laughing, her smile so innocent. Innocent. Not a word that him or anyone else would ever apply to Edea but how else to describe her beautiful smile? Edea... She was just down the hall but somehow felt further away than ever. Ringahel smiled at the next photo, Edea, dressed in the freelancer outfit they had met her in, armed with Ise-No-Kami. The next drawing was of her dressed in the bravo bikini. Ringabel had drawn it so it actually fit her, unlike when she had actually worn it. Ringabel chuckled to himself, remembering how bold he used to be ,unafraid to say things that others would find unspeakable. Unacceptable, Agnés would say. But Agnés had gone to Anchiem, Edea had gone back to being the Grand Marshal's daughter and Tiz was working on rebuilding Norende. He hadn't seen Tiz and Agnés in months. And when was the last time he had spoken to Edea? Actually spoken to her, have a conversation about her love of ice cream or something stupid like that. That had been months. Edea along with the others had vanished from his daily life.
Ringabel let out a sigh as he turned the page of his journal carefully and-
Airy. It was Airy. Drawn before he knew of the fairy's true intentions. Airy, hovering beside Agnés a cheery smile on her face. Ringabel felt a chill go down his spine. He turned the page, knowing what the next picture would be of. It was Airy again, a strange expression of joy on her face as Agnés prayed to the Crystal, face contorted in pain. The next one was of Airy, a drawing from side on, so Ringabel could easily see the five on her wings. How had Ringabel missed that the first time around? The next picture, Airy with a four, next a three, next a two, a one... And a zero. Ringabel, like all of his companions suffered from nightmares. His nightmares mostly consisted of Airy slaughtering Tiz, Agnés and Edea in his world, whilst he remained frozen, useless. Unable to save them. Unable to save himself.
Ringabel closed his journal and threw it at the end of his bed. He faced the bed and sobbed.
He sobbed for what seemed like forever yet by the time he had finished, it still didn't feel any closer to morning.
Ringabel fumbled around for a pencil and on a blank page of his journal he started to draw.
The picture was of Airy, being eaten by Ouroborous.
The fairy had her arms and legs splayed, mouth open in a scream. A horrible light shone from the crack in the rock where Ouroborous lay. Ringabel made the pain on Airy's face visible and although for some reason it sort of shamed him, he enjoyed her look of pain.

I was frozen in fear...
You took my...
I swore to protect her.
But I couldn't! I couldn't!
I don't understand!
Why? I made a vow!
What use am I if I couldn't save her?
What use am I if I couldn't save myself?
I don't-
Why? Why? Why did you have to die, Edea?
Why couldn't I summon up the courage to save you?
I love you.
But still, I was frozen.
My darkness overflowed by something-
I love you Edea
Godamnit, Edea I love you.
But I was frozen
I couldn't-
Agh!
I reacted too slowly
You blood had already splashed on the deck.
You were braver than me.
You went straight in.
Unafraid of the outcome.
But I was.
I love you Edea, I love you, I love you.
And now you're gone.
