Was Draco in love with Granger? The MUDBLOOD?
No way… OK, so there might be a way, she's smart, brave, beautiful, kind, everything a man could want.
But there was no way that Granger would ever love him back. He was a MALFOY! He had stood there watching her being TORTURED! No way.
What was he supposed to do?
He couldn't just go up to her and say, "I love you." That was first of all way too bold and Hermione would never even think twice about him.

He was hopelessly in love with this beautiful and bold girl, who despised his guts!
His father would never approve. His father would be so disappointed in Draco if he ever found out.
But… this was love Draco was talking about. It's a serious game. Would Draco give up his love, even for his father?
No. Just- no. There was no chance of Hermione loving him back though.
How could she even love him? He… had done so many terrible things in the past. But it was in the past. There was still a chance that she might give him a second chance… that she would forgive him.
No. Impossible. Giving him, MALFOY, a SECOND CHANCE? Unheard of. No way. There was no way.
Should he just give up? No. Yes. UGH! He was in a too complicated situation. Typical Malfoy.
