I was quietly watching behind the slightly ajar door. The council looked furious, their halos glowing furiously. Their eyes burning with sheer rage, even I fear their wrath.

"You know that this is wrong on so many levels yet you continue with such impure actions, surely you know that you won't get away with this. So tell me, why did you do it?" he was clearly restraining himself for screaming down her neck.

"Why? Do we really need a reason to experience happiness? Do we really need a reason to experience freedom? Do we really need a reason to experience love?" her voice was gentle, but it was clear that she accepted her fate.

"You little piece of..."

"Raphael!" the angel next to him held him back, looked him in the eye and gave a nod. He seemed to get the message.

"So you admit to the charges?" the more restrained angel asked, her voice less threatening compared to her fellow council member.

"I admit, I am guilty of love, charge me as you please," her face didn't show any signs of fear. Not once did she twitch.

"Very well then. Both you and your sister are banished from this land, effective immediately. Yes Kayle, I know you can hear me, get out." She stared at my direction as her eyes flared up, signalling for me to take my leave.

"Your honor! I am to blame for Kayle's sins. I led her into this, she is innocent of anything. I shall take responsibility for her crimes!" Morgana immediately told the judge.

"Lying will do you no good now. Besides, if what you say is true, the severity of your crime is doubled and thus, I will not be as merciful with my punishment." The angel said.

"I swear on the angel's code. I am to be blamed, leave Kayle out of this." I stared at her with horror for I knew what the council will do to her. Does she not value her life?

"Very well then. Tear her wings," she commanded in a very cruel manner. Morgana's face was paralyzed in fear, trapped in time as she keeps telling herself that this cannot be true. The angel laughed at her agony.

"Last chance, do you admit to all the charges?" she asked once more. Morgana looked at me. She mouthed something that I couldn't make out. She smiled and I knew that this was going to end bad.

"Don't do it!" I yelled at her, completely ignoring the presence of the council.

"Yes, I admit to every single charge. As long as I have Kayle, nothing you do can hurt me." She challenged the council. I was crying inside, I just realised that I lost the thing most precious to me there and then. I didn't just lose my sister, I lost a part of myself.

"Funny," her voice hit a high note, before returning back to normal, "very well then. Tear her wings and erase both of their memories."

"What?! But Kayle is innocent. You can't do this!" Morgana was yelling as guards started coming towards me.

"She is still an accessory to your crime though, so yes I can do this." The angel waved her hand to signal the rest of the guards take the both of us away. I didn't bother resisting, unlike my sister who was screaming away in fury, swearing revenge.
